Male insertion into and control over female lives and bodies has been the goal as long as patriarchy has existed. Nothing new -- this is just the latest example. Objectification of women and girls has always been one of its most powerful tools. Now, we are literally being objectified out of existence.

Well there it is, plain as day, an admission that the movement is about men being allowed in women's spaces. No GRC required. Only "I identify as a woman" and voilà, a predatory male gets free and easy access to a smorgasbord of victims.

I appreciate Stonewall UK's candidly self-serving definition of "trans". No doubt we will see a cutback of image losses when writings such as Helen Joyce's "TRANS - When Ideology Meets Reality" (OneWorld) and Linda Blade & Barbara Kay "UNSPORTING" (Rebel News) gain traction.

What burns my ass is the double standard. “Upset that men are in the women’s changing room? Why do you care? Why are you obsessed with people’s genitals?” But EVERY SINGLE thing they say can be turned back in them. Why do they care about changing in the men’s room? Why would other men care about changing with trans identifying men? They’re arguments only work if what women want doesn’t matter. That’s it. The whole reason they supposedly need to in add our spaces is because they feel uncomfortable and scared, but for some reason, they apply a different standard to women. They couldn’t be more blatantly sexist.

They are either being repugnant on purpose as a wind up, or they are pedo's.

Twitter is very disheartening in this respect.

If people want to insult me blah, blah whatever.

It's that if you tweet something true and forthright, you know the snivelling little creeps will gang up and report.

Women are not transwomen. Simple, no?

Remember the 1990s? When "trans" was shorthand for post-operative transsexual ... and Hayley off Corrie was the only one anyone had heard about 😆

What happened to post-operative transsexuals btw? Are they still a thing? 😕

Expand full comment

The thing is, the larger public who aren't versed in the modern world of trans terminology will think that bottom surgery is a given when they hear the word trans, whether transsexual or transgender. That survey that was conducted demonstrated that very well.

First question was about transwomen in women's spaces. The majority said they thought it was ok. When asked again, but this time stating that these transwomen still had their male genitals intact, the response was flipped with an overwhelming no to sharing spaces.

It is highly disingenuous for TRAs and their allies to say that TW have "always" been sharing our spaces. Not with their dicks they haven't.

For an ideology that is based on lies, we shouldn't be too surprised that most of their proponents are very confused and dishonest.

That is so true. I know that was my stance before I was introduced to the inglorious insanity, as it was for everybody else no doubt.

I have a friend I keep chipping away at because she works in a children’s charity that is meant to be all about safeguarding. When she declared to me she was happy the org was a matriarchy I took the opportunity to bring in my fav subject and ask why this is important. I asked how the dynamics would change if that matriarchy suddenly comprised 50/50 or even 100% trans women. Her answer was that it depended at what stage they were in the journey. Yet she supports self-ID! It’s beggars belief. More importantly, she thinks that single-sex is a tired relic of the Victorian era and serves no meaningful purpose in the modern world. I realise I cannot even raise this subject anymore with her because I always get ‘why do you care? Why do you always go on about?’ As soon as you get a step closer in helping them realise the end game they just shut down. I think it must dawn on people like my friend they are suddenly faced with the inconsistencies in their position and then don’t want to hear anymore and make an excuse to shut the conversation down. Deeply frustrating and now I realise I can no longer mention the subject to her. But how can one place a condition that a trans woman would need to be at a certain stage in their journey to be taken seriously in the ranks of womanhood, but then support self-ID that requires no stage?! These people are complete disengaged from their brain, sadly.

The cognitive dissonance is very palpable with some. You can it hurting their brain.

The trans lobbyists would have us believe that we are obsessed with genitals and that what's in someone's pants is irrelevant and none of our business. They are ignoring the glaring reality that it matters very much to most women (and parents of girls) who they are sharing intimate spaces with, and that genitals are the crux of it. What they call obsession we would call safeguarding. It's an absolute fantasy to think that a TW with a penis will act stereotypically feminine in our spaces and we needn't have any qualms. We've seen far too many instances where they do the exact opposite and make overt threats to women who object.

Obviously we cannot suggest people are examined before entering a toilet or change room, but we can ask for self-id to be voted out of existence. It is a bad idea. It doesn't prevent someone from living their life. But just as women had to fight for funding to protect their rights and build their own spaces, so should TW and their allies. They already grift for everything else, why not this? We keep hearing excuses that it's not practical. Just one toilet that is self-contained and labelled as neutral is all that's needed to satisfy safety and comfort for everyone. No one needs validation to urinate for god's sake.

I remember on 4th Wave Now a mother saying her daughter was threatening her with calling child protective services if the mother did not cave to the daughter's demands for testosterone. I have parented other people's children and I suggested to her that she allow her daughter to call CPS if she wanted. Apparently her daughter had not yet learned much about the real world -- a common circumstance in the U.S. -- but if she was put in foster care she would learn very fast. This may seem cruel but no crueler than handing your daughter a toxic chemical.

Maybe women who have achieved academic status, the women who have proven qualifications, the academics who do not want trans men to identify as women, should begin to search for a way that they can speak without being deplatformed. When Shakespeare wrote that the pen is mightier than the sword, I have to declare, I found it true when I read it. I am a believer in a few truths, 1st The truth will always defeat a lie. 2nd when times change language must change. 3rd nobody cares unless you show them why they should care. 4th show people the truth in a new way of speaking and show them why they should care. It is lazy to keep speaking of men and women, when men are allowed to identify as women. create new aphorisms, new scenario's, new ways of declaring the truth. On a battlefield surprise is the chief enemy of laziness. Find a way to demonise the enemy with new meaning and new words but never lie

Expand full comment

Regarding the 2nd truth; I'd say that's a BIG problem with trans ideology, they want to redefine words like woman and even female. Things shouldn't be redefined to satisfy the delusions of a very small minority. Perhaps a transwoman is just a man who likes to present in a stereotypically feminine way, and a transsexual has had gender reassignment surgery. Both are still biologically male.

At the end of the day, TW or TS who "pass" are in all likelihood going to use our spaces (toilets and changing facilities). Those are very few and far between as we know. But simply creating policies that just say use the facility that matches your gender identity leaves it to women to protect those spaces, sometimes at great peril. And that's not fair. This will never be resolved until third spaces are a serious consideration.

Trans men do not identify as women. Trans women want to. Transexual women know they are males and know that they only look like women. So says an educated woman who has a MSc and who never lies.
