A little context here
I didn’t call this person a paedophile. I said “This is grooming” when they were talking about how difficult it is to teach Queer theory to students on Zoom because their parents might hear.
I have a video coming up on Queer Theory (fantastic interview with Heather Brunskell Evans) but here’s why I think it’s so dangerous when it escapes the halls of academia and enters the real world.
In a wider sense, I do believe Queer Theory is grooming. Every institution in the UK has been groomed under Stonewall’s instruction. You can see it in things like ‘Drag Queen Story Time’ and Stonewall’s Alex Drummond going into Welsh schools and telling confused children he’s a lesbian. It has slithered into many major institutions which is why you see terms like ‘people with a cervix’ and ‘womxn’ in NHS literature.
The whole field of study (excepting Foucault, as I learned from Heather) is an attempt to erase sex as a meaningful category and replace it with ‘gender’, which is meaningless. It is a shitty American import that has embedded itself into the fabric of the UK and I have zero respect for those passing it on to another generation.
The press needs to stop this shit.
People in the future will why a young girl, suffering from internalised misogyny and gaslit by a society that told her she could, like Pinnochio, become a real boy with the ‘magic’ of drugs and surgery, was referred to as ‘he’ throughout this piece.
And then there’s the flipside of this situation, equally harmful and insulting to women, and laid out beautifully in this letter by Alan Henness to ‘The Journalist’.
How long will the press play along with this absurd state of affairs?
