The thing that should be urgently reframed is Wadhwa's employment at Rape Crisis Scotland. An adult human female qualified for the job should be appointed instead and the Board held to account for allowing Wadhwa to take a job that was subject to an essential legal exception.

This is not the Scotland I have lived in for most of my life. I don’t recognise the lack of compassion for women and children, for those in distress. I don’t understand why your pain is less than the loss of face of this man pretending to be a woman. Mostly I don’t understand why no one is listening to those of us crying foul at this disgraceful state of affairs. The men in my life, husband, brother, father and now grandsons have all been honest decent respectable men who would not have stood back and tolerated I’ll treatment of women.

MPs. MSPs, counsellors, medical staff, teachers, step up as our men would once have done and stand alongside us women because we really need more help as Scotland goes down the pan with Nicola Sturgeon at the helm.

I'm so sorry to read this article but of course thanks for sharing it - so important that we have testimony of what's going on .... please pass on very best to this doubly abused woman, Glinner. As for the SNP gender cult and church alliance - directing their help and compassion to 'trans' over women - and over common sense, stats n facts - for what??? Is there money involved?

Just hope the vast majority of Scots people will vote with their X when the time comes and with their feet. EDIT - meantime all power the women and men who won't wheesht and trust em to make clear to each and every relevant institution swallowing this, that this new ideology is undemocratic, unproven, unpopular and cruel.

Vast majority won’t as they don’t know what the fecks going on , media blackout is immense in Scotland

We’re all still running about in kilts eating haggis that we caught yesterday fs

I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn that churches, including the Church of Scotland, have received hefty donations to support this monstrous ideology. Churches will bend over backwards -- and forwards -- for wealthy donors.

A current over used phrase, " lived experience" seems to be fine when applied to a chap dressing up as a dog or wanking off in a ladies loo but is discounted as manipulation when a woman who does not toe the party line on transwomen ,describes what has happened to her and how this affects her life.

Yes, exactly this. MeToo was a rallying cry for five minutes with "Believe Women" but now we have "believe women... except the ones who bother us with inconvenient truths."

Yes! Even the phrase " listen to women" is stretching it for that lot.

After his appointment Wadhwa openly gloated online that he had been hired despite not having a GRC and still having his tackle. That he’s still employed in this organisation is an affront to every woman in Scotland. That and the fact that Sturgeon dismissed women’s concerns about self-id are “not valid”.

As for the Church of Scotland? Another misogynistic organisation.

This story is both deeply tragic and intensely infuriating, because all it would take to break this scandal wide open is a media that aren't cowards (or haven't drunk the gender kool-aid).

A rape victim being treated like this is something that the vast majority of people would find utterly abhorrent - and action would need to be taken - but they won't read about it in their newspaper or see it on their TV news.

What has happened to the media in the last 40 years? Where are the fearless journalists who exposed thalidomide and the MPs expenses scandal etc? Do they troop off to 'university' now to be brainwashed and nullified?

Yes they do! According to Sharyl Attkisson in Smear the ones who won't be paid off get smeared and have their lives destroyed as they're ruthlessly cancelled

The person weaponising this woman's trauma is the idiot cleric, and using it to cause yet more damage to her. Surely, she can't be so stupid that's she's unable to understand why a woman who has been subjected to male sexual violence, might not want men to be near them, including those who, as far as they're concerned, have abandoned their masculine identity. Let's assume she can understand that but thinks it's reasonable to impose it on a traumatised woman anyway.

I would describe that as sadism, and I'm not sure what view her church has on this, but presumably it isn't a good thing. It's not very loving, after all. Who knows? Maybe anything that helps in the unending war against trans people and the determination to remove all their rights makes it, and every other vile misogynistic abuse okay.

On the side of cynicism, isn't this the church desperately seeking the business of pew filling-- so why not join this new venture of men can be women.

Where's Jenny Geddes when we need her stool throwing skills!

(she was the woman who reputedly threw a stool at John Knox during one of his newly formed Church of Scotland preachings).

The ex Archbishop of Canterbury, supported by several other high ranking Anglican clerics, has said that ‘trans is a sacred journey’ . So I think the rot is well set in. They have a MTF priest who is entrusted with ministry, in the teeth of the parish objections, and in spite of the fact that the previous parish asked for their removal.

At the risk of upsetting all the atheist readers, I will say of them ‘ God is not mocked’.

My point wasn't speifically about trans ideology but the C of E has embraced it wholeheartedly as demonstrated. My point was more that the church will always protect men at the expense of women, the scandals in the C of E and the Catholic church worldwide have made that clear. This ideology is no different, it's all misogyny however it's wrapped up.

I don't think it's a chuch thing but I think you're right. Talking to people on the street (we have a stall and just engage people at random), I'd say about 98% are aghast once you explain what is going on. I stopped a young beardie guy last week with a surfer T-shirt, I was sure he'd be immersed in the genderwoo but he said he and his friends think it's twaddle, they call it the gender agenda and fully supported what we were doing. Had to check my own prejudices after that one.
