John Hamill tweeted a very interesting point here and its significance nearly passed me by yesterday with all the hoopla. Amnesty and ICCL are on record stating that far right movements should be allowed to engage in the political process. Now, while the optics of bringing this up can be awkward as you don't really want to be insinuating that we are far right, the point can still be made by framing it differently. Such as saying Amnesty and ICCL have gone so far as saying that even far-right groups should be allowed fund raise abroad and engage in the political process. By calling for the GC women to denied political representation they are effectively saying that they consider them worse than those far right groups, etc.
Fantastic chat and laughter and with honesty, clarity and boldness. You know, this was a good one. Please punch the air in excitement.
