I’ve written to my mp countless times on these issues, if she responses its like she treats the facts that i’m presenting her are a matter of opinion. I wrote to her about masked men intimidating women at the let women speak events and nothing. I sent her the school stuff about gender identity and she just ignores what i’m asking her and talks in a none committal way about safe guarding. I asked her to condemn the potential future use of puberty blockers citing the fact that parents and children are being lied to about them being reversible. Nothing. Like it doesn’t matter. I feel obsessed by it, because it’s children’s lives. How is that not a priority for society as a whole. And i hear people say things like…. some kids get stabbed, some get run over, some fall through the gaps. and i’m like, really is that where we are now. Terrible things happen to some children. Is that the best we can do. Shameful. I don’t except it. I don’t except the inevitability of children suffering in any context. And you lot don’t either thank goodness. I feel like i’m drowning by myself most of the time so hearing these is of enormous comfort.
