Yet again, our cup runneth over with good news stories from the gender beat. Enjoy!
It’s Wins-day Again
Best news of the week! Shahrar Ali has won an historic legal victory against the Green Party after he was sacked for expressing his ‘gender critical’ views.
In February 2022 The Green Party sacked Dr Shahrar Ali from his role as spokesman for policing and domestic safety, claiming he had breached the party’s Spokespeople Code of Conduct.
Dr Ali subsequently took legal action against the party - the first legal action of its kind against a political party - believing that party officials had colluded in removing him from his post over his expressing gender critical views eg that ‘biology is real and immutable’.
Dr Ali won his case in a landmark victory this week. The court ruled that his sacking was ‘procedurally unfair’ and that he had suffered unlawful discrimination. Judge Stephen Hellman stated: “I find that by removing him as spokesperson in a procedurally unfair way, GPEx discriminated against Dr Ali because of his protected belief contrary to section 101 of the Equality Act… Dr Ali also seeks a declaration that he has been subjected to unlawful discrimination. I grant the declaration sought.”
As Joan Smith, writing in Unherd, points out, “This judgment constitutes a warning for political parties that have allowed trans ideology to run riot in their ranks”.
Our huge congratulations to Dr Ali, his legal team and all who supported him.
Kemi’s Game Changer
Minister for Women and Equalities, Kemi Badenoch, has written a game-changing letter to the House of Commons’ women and equalities select committee in which she condemns medical interventions for gender confused kids.
Following her appearance before the committee last month, Kemi Badenoch has written this letter, supplying overwhelming evidence, to demonstrate the ‘conversion practices’ which persuade gay and lesbian children to ‘change genders’.
“We are literally ‘transing the gay away’ when we should be helping them to understand & accept their sexuality & grow up to live happy, healthy lives as lesbians, gay men or bisexuals.”
Bev Jackson, co-founder of the LGB Alliance said, “LGB Alliance is delighted that the minister for equalities has recognised the concerns that we have been raising for a long time”.
Good Lords
The Conversion Therapy Prohibition (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity) Bill had its second reading in the House of Lords this week. The debate involved some extremely powerful opposition, eloquent and impassioned speeches, and much good sense spoken all around the chamber. Highlights include:
Lord Lucas said that ‘affirming’ a child’s ‘gender identity’ is conversion therapy and that ‘freezing’ a child's natural development with medical interventions should be a criminal offence. “Taking something in a really young child and saying, ‘That means that you have a particular future, determined already at age four’ is wrong.”
Lord Forsyth condemned the bill as “A dangerous, crude piece of legislation in a hugely complex and controversial area”. He described it as something ‘written on a beermat’ after a conversation in the pub.
Baroness Haytor talked about the need to safeguard vulnerable children and spoke against “Serious, potential, life-altering medical intervention”.
Lord Young spoke of gender ideology as ‘a cult’ and of his concern for the safety of children and women. He said that politicians should not just concede to the demands of trans activists. “This is a cult—it really is—and it has invaded government departments and the BBC. It is there.”
Baroness Bruscome, who had been involved in legislating for the Gender Recognition Act, stated that 20 years on “We're witnessing the hijacking of a rare condition for a trend that is out of control”.
Baroness Eaton spoke of the plight of de-transitioners who now regret undergoing medical treatments to ‘change gender’ and quoted their own words. “This bill would also lead to more Keira Bells, Dagnys and Ritchie Herrons”, she said.
Baroness Meacher spoke of her concern that the bill could criminalise the social workers and mental health professionals trying to help young people with gender issues. “In anticipation of bills such as this, experienced and compassionate professionals are already leaving their profession, rather than risk professional and public censure.”
Lord Winston said the bill would risk “Legislating for a piece of biology that we really don’t understand” and said that “Any kind of legislation putting this into law is wrong.”
Baroness Meyer asked, “Gender identity remains ambiguous and its existence remains contests. How can we ban something no-one has been able to define?”
Baroness Noakes commented that “The fact that LGBT lobbyists assert that there is a problem does not constitute evidence on which responsible legislators can rely.”
Lord Blencathra stated, “Only cult capture by the trans zealots can explain why 138 children were referred in 2010 for genuine gender dysphoria but that this rocketed to 3,585 in 2021, as the fad for converting children from one sex to another took hold.”
Baroness Fox said, “I ask every political party to keep well away from this. It will poison even more the well of free speech, inter-generational relations and our relations with each other on a topic that is toxic enough.”
Lord Jackson spoke of Stonewall’s influence driving this legislation. “Groups such as Stonewall have calculated that a new conversion therapy law is their best shot at silencing dissent.”
Lord Frost commented, “I have certainly not been persuaded by anything I have heard that there is a genuine problem with violent or coercive conversion therapy in this country. These things are, after all, already illegal.”
The days of ‘no debate’ are over.
Let’s Get This Party Started
There’s a new kid on the block in UK politics; Kellie-Jay Keen (Posie Parker)’s long-awaited Party of Women has now been formally registered.
Kellie-Jay announced this week that the Party of Women is now a formally registered political party with her as is its leader. “Things are gonna change”, she said. They certainly are! For more information, click on this link.
Fuck Around, Find Out
And speaking of Kellie-Jay, the trans identified male who threatened her and Helen Joyce with violence now faces a prison sentence.
Layla Le Fey is a trans-identified male who has previously been known as Adam Hodgson and Marcus Smith. According to the Daily Mail, Le Fey has previous convictions for over 50 offences. Last year we reported on his making death threats and threats of violence against Helen Joyce and Kellie-Jay Keen on social media.
This week Le Fey pleaded guilty to four counts of sending an offensive, obscene, and menacing message via public communication network at Brighton Magistrates’ Court. He will be sentenced in April and could face up to 8 weeks in prison.
Taylor Made Award
FiLiA CEO, Lisa-Marie Taylor won the Special Award at the Emma Humphreys Memorial Prize awards this week.
FiLiA is a female-led volunteer organisation which works to promote and defend women’s rights and wellbeing. Its events have often been targeted by trans activists because of its pro-female ethos.
This week DiLiA co-founder and CEO, Lisa-Marie Taylor, won the Special Award at the 25th annual Emma Humphreys Memorial Prize awards for her dedication to amplifying the voices of women's and defending women and girls’ human rights.
Huge congratulations to Lisa-Marie and all of the Emma Humphreys Memorial Prize winners.
Sisters Doing It For Themselves
A group of lesbians in Australia are taking legal action to defend their right to a women-only space.
As we have previously reported, the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) upheld the decision of an LGBTQ+ venue to prevent The Lesbian Action Group from hosting an all-female event.
This week the group reported that they have begun the legal process to appeal the AHRC decision.
Best of luck and all power to you, sisters.
Big In Japan
Abigail Shrier’s ground-breaking book, Irreversible Damage, is to be published in Japan despite trans activists intimidating her original publisher there into pulling out.
Pink News was quick gloat over Abigail Shrier losing her Japanese publisher. No doubt they will also report that, following a bidding war involving a number of interested parties, a Japanese edition of Irreversible Damage is in the pipeline.

Reading the quotes from HoL got me thinking about how societies treat children.
You look back through history thinking, I'm glad I didn't live in ancient Greece where I could have spent my adolescence being buggered by a Spartan or Victorian Britain where I could have been stuffed up a chimney, down a pit or crawling around under looms. It's embarrassing to think that I live in a time and place that makes those options sound like a summer camp.
As always 🌹
I keep telling myself that the wheels of the trans bus are coming off ( ever the optimist ) but while big pharma and politicians are lining their pockets it’s not going to happen 😡
As a wee aside I had little petal at the weekend and we were cooking and singing ‘ bonnie wee Jeanie McCall ‘ scottishland readers will know this song ( don’t ask me to sing it you’ll wish you were deaf 😂) and I’m just happy that she’s being taught this in school rather than the shit that’s being peddled elsewhere
