Is that a massive about-turn by Waterstones to be featuring a book like The Women Who Wouldn't Wheesht?! Not too long ago I recall they were in the vanguard of pushing poisonous pro gender ideology and getting their nasty blue-hair-pronouny shop fascists to police it. If I have that right it's great news and shows big progress back towards sanity!!
I abandoned Waterstones during the pandemic years when their wokey stance was at its worst. I may swan about in the store today in the Silverburn shopping mall. If I see a copy of this book, which I have already bought, I will make a point of congratulating them on their good business sense.
Last year, when I bought "Unfair Play" by Sharron Davies in Waterstone's in Glasgow's Argyle Street, I was "growled" at by the male sales-assistant (Yes, most of us have no problem in telling male from female). If he had read the book, he would have noticed a major part was about East Germany having systematically drugged its female athletes.
Even more delicious was the news that when “Sophie” applied to join the SNP they turned him down too. So two dysfunctional, deviant groups in one fell swoop sent him packing!
It’s even better than that Harry. The dim bulb started shouting online that he was going to start The Rainbow Party and while he was doing his online prancing and ranting an enterprising onlooker registered a party of that very name! Karma is so sweet.
well he is so hopeless, he will probably ask to to join that 'other/new' rainbow party if he thinks there could be a paid opportunity for himself... !?
Wow this is such good news: "Should the Labour Party win the general election, Shadow Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Wes Streeting, has already stated that the party would fully implement the Cass review and he has indicated a commitment to cracking down on private gender clinics." Fingers crossed this is not just temporary bandwagonning.
I met Anas Sarwar today and asked him about Cass, and he'd said the party was committed to it: since health is devolved, I'm hoping that means Scottish Labour will also push for it.
The BMJ opinion piece is great. I particularly liked this: 'This has not been helped by the multiple lobby groups, welcomed by many institutions to influence their policy making in this area. The same rules that we would normally use to guard relationships with any other pressure group—be it promoters of disease “awareness campaigns” or party politicians looking for support—seem to have dissolved against social pressure to achieve a compliance badge on a website.'
Some good news from Canada. At the start of the Pride Season, as our Prime Minister insists on calling it, a Poll finds declining Canadian support for LGBTQ2 rights and visibility. The sad part is that Canadians were one of the first to embrace same sex marriage and protection for gay people. The LGB brought in the T and all hell broke loose. The more Canadians are learning, men in women's prisons, sports, safe spaces, grooming of young children in schools, medical intervention in minors, etc. the more they are waking up and unfortunately the entire alphabet groups is suffering the consequences.
Some really positive pieces of news, thanks JL. Perhaps we really will get back to sanity one day ( if only the Tories had done something sooner) and people like your friend Miranda Yardley won’t have to listen to people like me having a good old rant! 😁
Wonderful to see that Glinner is working on a new sitcom 😊
To continue the Sophie Sparkles story the SNP then barred the windows and doors, so he decided to set up his own Rainbow Party. However someone pipped him to the post and set up a Rainbow Party that believes that sex is immutable 😂
I feel all warm and rosy. 🤗 Even after seeing the freak show Sparkles. I mean I probably shouldn't say that because clearly he is mentally ill. I'd be so curious to see what his parents are like. I'm totally gutted that, in the interviews if the four minor party leaders on itv last night after the yawn-fest of a debate, the leaders weren't asked, in the quick fire round "can a woman have a penis". Annoyingly the Green Party co-leader came across pretty well which is really annoying given the circus going on behind the scenes. Anyway, I think I can safely conclude now that ALL adult males pretending to be women are fetishists. I kept my mind open for years but I can't conclude any different. Down with the trans ship!
What the fook is a polycule? 🙄 Nevermind, I can guess. What a bunch of porn-addled plonkers. Anyone attending KKJ's birthday party? I am and would love to meet in-person anyone from this excellent platform of sanity.
It's not you, don't worry. Also, edits might look like they've not loaded but then appear when refreshing the page - so I tend to hit refresh far more than other sites.
I’m happy to see victories against the trans bullshit but feel a certain ambivalence in that it seems like rollback on a juggernaut that was monstrously obscene all along and which is still getting away with too much. People are still being too “reasonable” about it. J K Rowling has been great but she’ll still say things like “I have nothing against trans people”. There are no trans people. No-one can change sex. If they try they just end up as a neutered ruin. And the idea of greater control over children “questioning their gender” feels like bolting the stable after the horse has escaped. The kids’ minds have already been warped and we're still pandering to the insanity.
Bloody marvellous after the litany of horrors earlier in the week. Great news about the Ginger finger jabber and Euan whatshisname too. Thank you as always 😀

Barnes and Nobles here in the U.S. at Woos-achusetts is all over the Magic Genders Religion without a gender critical book in sight, sadly.
It looks as if anywhere nearby to Salem they're still on the lookout for blasphemers and heretics. WOO!
The bastards.
Did enjoy that bar in Idaho is celebrating hetero pride with the first beer free to heteros - it's not anti-gay, merely protesting the bloody pride (hijacked by trans activists) starting this month. https://lottwire.com/idaho-bar-defies-pride-month-with-heterosexual-awesomeness-month/
Eh

Just think how bad ‘Sophie’ Sparkles must be if the Scottish Greens - home of the endless deviants - have suspended him!
And yes, gutted about Russell-Moyles. 😂😂😂
😊

tried to join SNP..? So, no real political loyalty, just a grifter looking for a career in politics... err, no surprise there...
Rather sounds like someone else we know...

Yes, the same scenario.

Get it in writing Emily. I don’t trust Labour one iota. As for the rest …………..
Thanks for the great news, JL.

Thanks very much JL. Presumably Russell-Moyles is looking forward to spending more time with his ego.
🤣🤣🤣
As always thanks JL 🌹
Thank you, Petal! 😘
Marvelous news...
What’s a motherhood penalty? I have never felt that my four children were a penalty? Sometimes I wonder about these modern women’s groups?
Jillian my three daughters are the best investment I ever made and their children are like a particularly good Christmas bonus.
Thanks as ever for the relief of the GNS, JL.

For those interested I have done an update tonight which includes an update on the Party of Women candidates for the general election😊

KJK's party, I meant. How does one edit a post on Substack?

That never works for me.
I have, but I don't get that option appearing.
Oh, a minute ago I didn't but now I do! It's all Greek to me..🤷

The hag of Béara., An Cailleach Béara, maith thú Graham. Linehan. I wonder what gender was the man who decided he (the hag) was a woman??
