Thank you so much JL for some good news, but in particular, thanks for a reminder of a truly magnificent and uplifting Olympics. What a contrast with the depravity on show this year now that gender ideology has warped the minds of so many. I think I’ll watch 2012 in full again, in order to cleanse my mind. I loved the bottle opening piece too. I’m always struggling with bottles and jars. 😄

I had a bad feeling about the Olympics when I saw the torch carrying tranny. It turned out even worse than I expected with that awful opening ceremony and Male boxers to compete against women. How the world has gone downhill since 2012.

I thought that the granny with the beard, prancing around in his knickers and sussies was the most offensive. Had that been an actual female gyrating in a (supposedly) provocatively sexual manner, in front of a worldwide family audience watching on the telly, it would have been rightly condemned as inappropriate. How do they manage to get a free pass? It was revolting.

××tranny××× not granny... although thinking about these days, he could actually be a granny.

I'd have preferred a granny!

For me the worst was the giant naked blue smurf. I may never get that image out of my head

Who on earth thought this tacky Eurotrash spectacle was fit for an Olympic opening ceremony? France is now the laughing stock of the world

It’s just gobsmacking what they can get away with. The be kind brigade have a lot to answer for.

I liked before she discovered the gloves -wish I’d thought of that 😂

As always thanks JL 🌹

No little petal this week 😐 but no petal senior either 🥳

I never watch the olympics but this year I’m not watching it on principle , it’s been bad enough reading about it , I hope they notice the dent in their revenue

I’m at the stage that I very much doubt the death of a female in any sport will stop this shite ( forgive my ignorance if there’s already been one )

I never watch the Olympics either. That seems to have been a particularly good decision this year.

I'm tempted to send this link of Richard Ayoade defending Graham to my dear husband who, though he disagrees with gender ideology, refuses to listen to anything I have to say on the matter when my sources come from conservative sources. His TDS outweighs his concern for our daughter, who he believes is safe from injecting testosterone or cutting off contact (or body parts) once she leaves for college in the fall. He loves Richard Ayoade and even read his memoir. I'd send him Graham's posts— he loved the IT Crowd—but that might be too overwhelming. 😂

I was looking forwards to this but i’ve been peaked by the olympics boxer shite. But thanks anyway JL. I just can’t believe they are putting men in the ring with women. Just so awful. Incidentally i just started listening to the witch trails of JKR. I admire her even more now. Great show

hey Dusty i just had a great idea. One of the ways to get into london marathon is to get a ‘good for age’ time and it gets you automatic entry. Obs i’m way off that time for my category- its 3hours 5 mins, but i do qualify for the women’s good for age. All i have to do is declare that i’m a woman and then i can get in! and i know several women who are faster than me so i can cite that as proof that i don’t have a natural advantage over all women! i’m half tempted to do it because i get f-ing pissed off that amateur competitors are treaty as not important when it comes to fairness. But elite sport probably is 000.5 percent of sport actually played. The real world matters too

Hi CB

You do wonder how the blokes who do this can pretend that this is fair!!

I fully agree that larping men should be kept out of amateur sport as well. There is a campaign against Park Run’s policy for example

Boxing is the only sport whose objective is brain injury. Commonly followed by early onset dementia: caused by blows to the head that make it rapidly rotate. This causes repeated microscarring where the brain, suspended in cerebrospinal fluid, bangs against the skull.

("Heading" the ball in football has a similar result.)

All this has been known for OVER 40 YEARS -- I had to research it in 1983 for a Disabilities outfit: it was all in a single book.

So how can anyone -- especially women -- still be stupid and ignorant enough to want to take part in this barbarous "sport" at all?

yes i don’t like it, i tell the lad in the local shop who’s like 20 that i disapprove. I tell him he’s got to think about himself when he’s struggling to talk and pissing himself when he’s 40. and a wreck in every sense. and that i don’t approve at all. We have had lots of nice chats over the last couple of years so i tell him all the time that he’s risking too much for whatever gains boxers get. He’s laughs and says thats what his mum says. He’s a lovely guy. Really sweet, no idea why he’d want to batter another human beings brain in. I just don’t get violence. Why anyone would want to damage another person’s brain for sport is a alien concept. I can understand wanting to damage someone’s brain if you were trapped in a alley with an aggressor. Its a bullshit sport. They should wear helmets to ensure no damage is done and do a points system.

My sixteen year old grandson just had his first MMA fight at the weekend. There were no other boys available in his age group so he fought men who in some cases were 7 kilos heavier. He won one fight and lost three. His mother and I are reeling with horror and some admiration. At least he was six or eight inches taller than them so in time he may fill out those long limbs.

My youngest done Muay Thai in Thailand and at the beginning I was horrified at the difference in size ( he’s 6’3”) but he mightily got his arse booted

Can you imagine any female going against them

I saw pics of the 7’3” basketball player against the Chinese team , even if he was shite what chance do they have

Thanks JL - lot's of promising things but looking at this years Olympics there is so much more to be done. This nonsense needs to stop. So much harm being done to appease a few.

Thanks for the GNS, JL!!

I think the legal challenges in the States eg to the proposed amendments to Title IX show us the way forward here under the Labour government - they need legal challenges eg to the proposed repeal of the Freedom of Speech Act.

Loved Mr Bean 😊

Delighted to see that Natalie Bird's GC discrimination case against the LibDems has been so successful -- that they crumbled without even getting to court!

So shifty Ed Davey must have listened to legal advice: that they couldn't possibly win the case he preferred to know nothing about, and have no opinion on.

That's one GC discrimination case won against the LibDems, and three cases won against the Greens. When is someone going to take on Labour?

WAW is my required reading but the blood pressure monitor on my arm swiftly rises to 180/120mmHG. I call in at A & E (try to get a GP - ha ha). A paramedic rolls up a screen beside my gurney, clicks on "Glinner's Good News Supplement". We watch as the gauge drops swiftly towards 120/80, then even 90/60.

Truly great to read these, especially the ETBB changes, those are huge! Thank you so much. I also heard a recording of the interview with Richard Ayoade and was cheering and clapping! Thanks again, JL!

Very cheering and confidence-boosting to read the 500++ pro-Graham/pro-sense readers’ comments following the Richard Ayoade piece. My finger hurts from “liking” them all! I am going to have to stop reading the weekly war on women as it messes so much with my head, but the Good News Supplement is a highlight of my week. Wonderful to read the Judiciary guidance too, although it only states the bleeding bloody obvious, we on here know we can never take that for granted now!
