Thanks JL, I needed this after the bad news edition this week. I love that Sex Matters is taking BTP to court. I just love that group of women. My only fear is that this entire case is going to come down to the definition of sex. Obviously us sane people know what the definition is but if you happen to get an arse of a judge.... The defence will probably argue that your sex is what is stated on your birth certificate which means anyone with a GRC is sorted. However, if Sex Matters wins then hopefully it will pave the way to scrap the GRA because how do you prove a police officer's true sex if they can hide it with a GRC. No one should be allowed to change their birth certificate.
Also, if non-"trans" people who legally change their name can't get a new birth certificate issued then trans people shouldn't be allowed to either. So non-"trans" people are already being discriminated against and I wonder if there is a case there. If there is, and such a case were won, it would highlight the dangers of all criminals being able to hide their past by a simple change of name and a re-issue of a birth certificate. Any lawyers on here?

I really feel this too. I really feel for the first time that the tides are changing. People are fighting back. The law is always on our side. But the activists will keep on coming, for now. We're always going to have fetishistic men so I think we need to be prepared for their continued fight and not be complacent. But I do think more explicit laws will come into play to prevent them infiltrating society like they have been. Fingers crossed, as always.

I've only learned about Nancy Mace. She attended and graduated from a hard ass military school that is 99% male. She's got grit and I stand behind her.
My theory is why so many women in the US were thinking a vote for 'reproductive freedom' was so important was because that is the only right women have left that is theirs at this point. Our scholarships, jobs, sports, private spaces have been taken away...but you can always abort if it goes south...Believe me, I believe in a woman's right to choose pregnancy or not, but it's obvious our 'rights' are being boiled down to our uteruses, which is NOT feminism.
If I were an adult human female I would be incandescant about how many hard won freedoms were being rowed back by men, as you describe above. I would feel even more anger and resentment to quisling female enablers of this poisonous ideology... I have three daughters, two sons and three female grand kids and I'm not hen-pecked. I just respect biological reality.

Mace’s grandstanding may play well on Fox News, but she is playing right into the hands of every trans activist who says that sex realists HATE trans people. The trans Democrat is a very sympathetic figure. A person does not need to be a rabid trans ally to fall for the lie that we hate trans people. The average liberal sees the move as punitive and cruel.
Now, assuming a sex realist is able to get an interview on mainstream media, he or she will be hit faced with having to defend the indefensible. That is what happened when The Bulwark podcast’s Tim Miller spoke with Sam Harris recently. Sam gave an outstanding explanation of the sex realist position on gender ideology. Then Miller, who is a trans ally, pounced. Unable to defend Mace, Sam pointed out that women need locker rooms to be single-sex spaces. Miller shot back with an impertinent comment that made Sam, one of the least foolish people on Earth, look like a fool.
What Mace could do is wait until the new Congress convenes and introduce legislation to protect women athletes against unfair competition from “trans women” and protect children from the so-called affirmative model of gender care, which usually leads to transition. We have ample justification for both positions. We can defend both objectives in sympathetic terms. Sure, activists and diehard trans allies will still accuse us of hating trans people, but in these cases they will look like cranks.
The enemy of our enemy is not always our friend. Nancy Mace is a case in point.

Mace is playing into trans activists hands? just say youre uncomfortable with confrontation and with this subject mater. shes saying exactly what trans activists dont want her to say. ppl will feel sympathy for a guy in drag? nothing new about that. some talking heads know next to nothing about this issue? nothing new there. gender activists robbed the rights of women, kids, gays, ppl with psych issues and others via a carefully crafted PR campaign. part of it is keeping dems gender policies changes on the down low so no one can object. the other part is 1000 bogus claims, none of which check out as true, but dems swallowed it all because they DGAF about women, kids or gays, they want to vanity signal. Mace is discussing the elephant in the room. shes doing a great job.

75% of everyone oppose men invading womens spaces and sterilizing kids. who are the 25% who think these are good ideas? theyre low info dems who, while half asleep, swallowed 1000 bogus claims promoted by gender activists. the problem is none of these claims check out. is trans ID immutable or mutable? since most who ID as trans eventually stop taking gender meds we can assume most desist from trans ID (german insurance records found 50% stop taking gender meds by year 4. US military says similar). as such, it seems trans ID is more of a hobby, like baseball or fishing. do gender meds help dysphoria or mental health? every gov systematic review on earth found they dont. are dysphoric kids at risk? no, they dont commit suicide more than others with same psych issues. kids are at risk via religious adults who tell them puberty is optional and trick them into a life long health catastrophy to address normal issues most grow out of. yes, we know dems bought gender biz alternative facts on these issues. they dont check out. bring it on. let go. this issue is a loser for dems and a winner for gop. as a dem, the sooner dems wake up the better
