That is some major good news and congratulations to James Esses. It should never have taken three years but at least he has been vindicated. Thanks JL for a really positive round up :)

We deserve this week's good news! As well, a therapist named Elliot Kamenetsky, in the States, has originated an alternative diagnostic category for cross-sex ideation: Identity-Based Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. It makes so much sense, and we trans widows who witnessed a husband's descent into the obsessive rabbit hole can attest to the validity of an OCD psychiatric illness. Linked here is my reply to an epic trans troll on my channel, the famous "I'm not gaslighting you" while gaslighting his own wife and everyone else on the planet. I right-backed-at-him-ed using the famous quotes of cross-sex ideating men: Grace Lavery, Andrea Long Chu, Alok Vaid-Menon, Jacob Tobia and Julie Serrano--who believe "being female" is "being taken" in their violent sexual fantasies.

"Identity-Based Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder." Perfect! Those poor pre-adolescent, teen and young adult males and females who've fallen for the gender identity lie are obsessively beating themselves to a pulp (figuratively speaking) trying to do the impossible.

Eliza Mondegreen's studies show that male and female online trans communities are bursting at the seams with obsessive compulsives.

Exactly, call it the disorder that it is.

I'm so heartened to hear about this new diagnostic category! Yeah, that really fits, doesn't it? In fact, I recall a lesbian member of LGBDropTheT bringing up this very point: that she herself, when younger, had been endlessly preoccupied with thoughts about her body, sex, sexuality, gender, and whether this made her "trans"... all of which she now recognizes as manifestations of her OCD. And she, too, believes that this is a common phenomenon. Glad that someone with credentials in the field agrees!

It's great. And we do need new terms. And how this is stimulated or triggered by use of tech/online/digital/small screen life and how that has stunted/changed/evolved/devolved us as individuals and societies and cultures. Stunted and altered our attention spans and attentional abilities. Having our every personal, human and societal nuance tweaked behind the scenes by AI/advertising/algos/AI. Our brains have been assaulted by it. How this cultural wave hit but the tsunami wasn't felt from another continent, then it hit but no one knew until two decades later we have an epidemic of sexless or sex rejecting and sex confused breastless teen girls in shock wandering and wondering what the hell happened. With the patently addictive and repetitive aspects of this cult and its rituals, secrecy and hidden rules. We know which professions have more sociopaths, this echoes that. It's another way they gained power, prestige and attention. Look! I'm a male-pattern baldness man but a woman so you must love me!

The same ones tweaked our elections. Not can I but should I. This gender borg successfully twisted all previous psychiatric presentations on their head by getting their lawyers and doctors to seed this in those professions then capturing everywhere. They fiddled with the official drop down menus - for provision of services and insurance. So it's by those same drop-down menus and psychiatric labels that we can counter this. Bring back clarity so not all of them can claim what they like and steal attention and resources from the genuinely vulnerable. And those without their cunning.

In the fallout waves of anger often hit the wrong people and bystanders. I want those responsible for this revolting mess held to account in the courts and those damaged to get help. Not those claiming they are most vulnerable and most in need - let's get that balance and critical analysis back with some sanity. Reading the statements of the latest batch of failed non-competitive men larping as women in the Olympics this time they ooze psychiatric instability, total recycled and reinforced delusion and self-obsession. No way they manage to dress that up as anything than what it is. Nothing quite so male as screaming in our faces that they are women. Or dressing it up in academese. They are all just masks and roles they try on for size.

The apology to James Esses is immense!! I hope he also got a large wodge of money out of them to make up for the damage to his career, time lost and aggravated damages. Does anyone know if he did?

Expand full comment

The wording of the apology was also really good.

It'll set a precedent too, it'll be a lot harder for them and other bodies to treat other students the same way in future.

Thanks as ever for the wonderful GNS, JL!

Great news that Cass is beginning to finally have an effect in the States.

Excellent Supreme Court judgment there as well. We may well need some Supreme Court judgments here given the new Labour Government.

Well done, James Esses!

Lovely to see at least one Tranadian state fighting back!

The basketball trick was great but very long. I have tonight featured a very short video of a flying squirrel faking its own death 😂

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) published a follow up statement clarifying that their stance on this issue has not changed and they still support gender affirming surgeries and opposes attempts to ban them. So it appears Cass may not be having an effect in the US after all…

Thanks, JL, for those very good news.

Wow! The lawsuits are working! Both US articles are terrific.

What's shocking is the absence of evidence-based studies and how this did not stop scalpel-happy surgeons to perform what's admitted as difficult surgeries with a high amount post op complications.

Finally, some good news from Canada too!

James Esses wrote a fine piece in The Times https://www.thetimes.com/uk/society/article/i-was-seen-as-a-monster-for-my-gender-critical-views-70s7xr2xd and there's a good article in the Jewish Chronicle https://www.thejc.com/news/uk/jewish-student-dismissed-from-course-over-gender-critical-views-recieves-apology-rgusb78p

So, how long before the BBC realise they've screwed up and apologise to Graham? To say nothing of dishonest coward Jimmy Mulville.

Love the basketball trick shot video, especially all the materials used.

I think the BBC is and will be going down with the ship. They are resolutely unaware despite multiple opportunities to think a bit or pause. It doesn't suit them to change their mind yet. It's scandal after scandal, cover up after cover up. A very performative cycle that starts up again before we've drawn breath from the last. It's heartening to have social media now so that we can say, we knew you knew, you knew you knew so cut the crap with the pretence that the BBC didn't. It's in a long list of 'institutions'. Then they try to play the victim card to silence the actual victims.

You're right. They've a continuing history of protecting sexual predators.

Very good to see James Esses vindicated. Psychotherapy is Al award a matter of opinion so to differ should not be remarkable. I hope he can finish his degree. We need sensible psychotherapists.

As always thanks JL , 🌹no lp this week she’s off back to school 😐 I shall have to find another servant to do my ‘very important jobs’ lol

Very well done to James Esses for plowing on through with his case , but another load of ‘ lessons will be learned in future ‘ tripe

All that means is there will be a more rigorous screening of future students

Amazing basketball trick although I couldn’t help thinking that all that junk spoilt a lovely garden. 😁

Thanks for the good news JL although there’s some doubt about the American Plastic Surgeons statement. Very pleased for James Esses, a well deserved and long fought for outcome.

Btw, when’s Graham going to change that photo of Neil Gaiman? It gives me the creeps. 🫣

I agree, it really is a rotten photo of a rotten man.

Poker should be interesting. I'm a sperg so I can do all the combinatorics and statistics side of the game, but can't read other players' behaviour beyond decision theory and assuming they're rational actors (which, given how some of them behave re: gender nonsense, is a very weak assumption). It's fun because people either assume I'm going to be crap at it (and then I clean them out lol), or they assume I'm like Rain Man and can count cards. I mean, I CAN, but not as well as him. It's a lot easier online where none of the other players has any of the social/facial/body language information either, and a lot harder IRL.

I suspect that's why casinos are full of flashing lights and sudden loud noises: it's to scare away all the autistics so we don't break the bank.

Also does the game let you change the cards skins? I wanna see Nina Paley's Gender Wars deck in there!

Should mention the maths degree helps with it, autism alone doesn't do much. Except perhaps motivate the maths in the first place and confirm the stereotype.
