When I first joined the Green Party, I had occasion to write to complain about one of their officers using the insulting term TERF. At first they reassured me that none of their officers would use such a term. That changed when I provided proof. I wrote saying that I could not be a member of a party which did not value women as a biological sex, expecting them to reassure me that they did in fact value us. Instead, they instantly cancelled my membership and refused a refund. When I wrote and complained, they insisted that I had resigned. How they ever hope to manage if they ever (haha!) get into power is beyond me as their admin is a complete shambles.
What a shower! Hope you at least got your money back. I, like Stu, have always been indicated as ‘Green’ on those test-your-politics who-should-I-vote-for tests but obviously I can’t vote for them as the actual party don’t seem to give a fuck about any actual Green issues. Gender bullshit trumps the future of all humans, it seems!
If it helps, its unlikely they will ever get into power - in our lifetime. The most they can hope for is some kind of coalition but even then, the pitifully few MPs will mean very little in terms of influence.
I sympathise with Alisdisgrace. But please when you say ' they did this or they did that' say which officer said or did this. Something is seriously going wrong in our party and I want to find out more.

We need somehow to build a dossier of these emails just in case one of us wants to take a case to the relevant authorities although I would hope that before that happened it would be discussed with eminent members such as Caroline, Jenny and Natalie.
Someone is compiling all the evidence to submit a complaint. Part of the issue is that I no longer have access to the email account I used so only have screenshots of some of the emails. I'm planning g on submitting a SAR under the GDPR to see if I can get copies of all correspondence.

I re-joined and voted for Shahrar Ali but even though I don't use my real name on social media I protected my tweets for the short term as I suspected stuff like this might happen. I did make a formal complaint about Tamsin Omond calling women with gender critical views 'unflushable.' If anyone should be suspended it's her.

Report to the Electoral Commission. If the party cannot obey its own rules, it should not be registered as a political party. The EC should investigate.
I assume the Green Party (E&W) are registered as a data processor with the information commissioner. It would be worth Stuart making a subject data access request to them to find out how their internal processes work.
I miss Wings Over Scotland- it was a great resource for finding the real stories behind the spin in Scotland. It's a shame about his Green Membership. I'd have paid good money to attend any event where he'd be sharing nibbles with Mridul.
I joined got lots of stuff but no voting papers and then when I saw on here that some of you had voted I looked into it and it took a very long time going round in circles, they didn’t seem to have a problem with my direct debit. It wasn’t until I revealed my problems on Twitter that I suddenly got sent a code so I could vote. So no proof of anything but a bit suspicious and left wondering whether they are manipulating or just incompetent? And when are the results due I can’t find any information on that?
I joined specifically to be able to vote for a new leader and received all the necessary emails, voting code etc without any issues. The way Stuart has been treated is appalling.
My husband tried to join on 7th September and got the same message. I contacted Sharar Ali on twitter and told him there were issues with the website which wasn't allowing people to join, he didn't know but said he'd look into it. Later the next day it had been 'fixed' and he was able to join. I don't know who is counting the ballots but it concerns me that this stuff is going on.

Yes, this is right. The Electoral Commission exists to ensure that elections are free and fair, and that parties/groups obey their own procedures.

Have now heard from them that results are due in Friday morning. The 1st October.

I joined too and your 'code' is that first email saying 'Your One Time Password (OTP' in your screen shot. I used mine and voted the other day.
