In Lu of a moral compass.

Lu must be short for loser. I'm reading a LOT of envy and hatred in this tweet. TRAs are getting very nervous. They know the tide is turning. They can either get out or drown

What I don't get is you and others bring attention to these people and have done over months and now years. Still nothing happens and they continue on in their 'advisory capacities'.

I asked someone who teaches Welsh (and is Welsh) about all nouns being either masculine or feminine and the rules of mutations. There is no neuter gender and it's important to learn the gender at the same time as the meaning. I felt a bit of a fool asking that question as it is a simple rule, but language is being twisted and reframed and I wanted to know how, or if, this is reflected. From what I could tell, it's not. Happy to be corrected. But if so, how are they pushing this through and changing how this is taught in schools? How does that respect the Welsh language? And culture? Do Plaid have a position on this? How do I describe my home, my family, my history, my life and my feelings if they have stolen my words?

I view the stealing of my words for woman in the context of the Welsh Language Acts bringing back the ability to speak a mother tongue. From literal silencing.

There were a couple of questions about the Welsh language in that consultation they had recently. Lu was one of their ‘expert advisers’. What a joke. Oh, and they were being advised by stonewall, and they seemed to think this meant they had LGB people covered.

The mere mention of The Izzard makes my teeth grate these days. Once, I thought him to be a very clever and intelligent comedian. Now, he's joined the ranks of The Total Twits.

An interesting side line on who Lu Thomas is

This is a woman very adept at packaging and selling boxes of empty words with her unregistered consultant company Re:cognition https://www.recognition.wales/

Specialising in lobbying. Shocker.

The list of clients. Why how could this funniness be locked in in NI? Well looky here...And I am fed up with flashy sites based on one (or at a push) two people. They often refer to 'us' and what 'we' can offer and we all know it's a one/two man band. It's bluster. That they offer 'expertise in public policy formation' makes me shudder.

There's a lot of crap in Lu.

Well said. I have nothing to add as you've said it so well.

Has a grip on reality = gender critical. . . Sigh.

Thank you for your spot on appraisal. It sums up a weak defence, which in this case, isn't the any (credible) form of attack. The strategic well, pitiful though it is, is parched and has run dry.

Thought Lu was a she not a he

Expand full comment

Yes, he's a she, that was my thought too.

I've deleted my comments. I always feel that I've failed if I need to resort to swearing and ad hominem attacks. I can't blame alcohol, because I don't drink!

Yebbut sometimes swearing is the only strong enough language! (Why I'm not commenting either 😆)

Expand full comment

Yes. I’m fine with angry swearing.
