Thank you. I don't understand why clinicians felt justified to use such an untested drug on young children? Is it because they really didn't care what happened to them, or were they using them as human guinea pigs? Either way heads must roll. Add to this the scorn poured on the research by those two idiots, it beggars belief.

Wow. This is a very illuminating article - thank you. That trial is clearly relevant which makes the Pink News rubbishing of it, also very illuminating.

Believe Veterinary training is lots longer than training for doctors.

Agree, people act in an unbelievably stupid way. How on earth did the West get so mixed up in cult behaviour

When has it ever been not mixed up in cult behavior?

The amount of power hungry idiots with big platforms who have revealed their complete irresponsibility around safeguarding a particularly vulnerable population. Whoever heard of animal trials being done to ensure drug safety? Pah, rubbish, just give it to kids untested if that's what the kids want ... kids know best. My daughter would have lived happily on a diet of Cocopops and crisps for years in that environment ... no teeth left sweetheart ... well it was your choice hon ... mummy's just there to validate you for likes on Insta

Don’t we have NICE guidelines that prevent the use of drugs which haven’t been rigorously tested?

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration added a warning to gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists, commonly known as “puberty blockers,” that there is “a plausible association between GnRH agonist use and pseudotumor cerebri.”

Pseudotumor cerebri, also known as idiopathic intracranial hypertension, occurs when the pressure inside your skull spontaneously increases, which can cause brain swelling, severe headaches, nausea, double vision, and even permanent vision loss.

Well said ,Malcolm. Great post.👍👏 Do those 2 clowns not realise that using children as guinea pigs would be extremely unethical ? Animals are used all the time in research ,and who would know more about animal brains etc than a specialist in veterinary medicine?🤔

We are within reach of finding a vaccine for H.I.V and it's only through testing on animals that this has been made possible. Whatever your views on animal welfare etc the truth is many of us benefit from such testing, including the friends and cohorts of Jolyon et al.

You don't need a vaccine for HIV because millions of people test positive for HIV and have no symptoms or problems. A vaccine for everything is a project of billionaires who feel they don't yet have enough money and who want people to forget building healthy immune systems.

Well, it is true you cannot directly move from animal studies to human animals. We operate in different ways, have pretty different brains, language and so forth and there’s culture to worry about. But it certainly points a way. And it is unethical to do a great many careful studies in humans.

Does anyone other than myself find it disgusting to experiment on animals? These so-called studies are nothing but grifters at work raking in the money. And, no, I don't want my life saved by the medical-industrial complex.
