These are the same people who are assiduously rebranding pedos as "MAPs" and who love to tell us over and over that children aren't innocent and "know what they want" when it comes to their bodies.

DARVO.

It's the current version of the old sexual offender's defence of "They love it really..."

Except now it comes accompanied by some half-witted post-modern theory to give it a sheen of sophistication. Underneath, it's the same old opportunistic paedos trying to manipulate the natural human repulsion to them.

Expand full comment

Yep. No, still repulsive.

Absolutely. And they all speak in the same way, trill out the same phrases over and over again....fresh from Tyrannical Transworld HQ. Darkly disturbing, yet even more disturbing is the media's stubborn refusal to make all of this horror front page news.

Richard Ma is a GP? What chance does a confused teenager have if people like him are licensed - and trusted - to dispense advice? Christ, that's bleak.

One notable aspect of that horrific photo yesterday was that it was posted by the girl's mother celebrating her "son's" transition. It's important to bear in mind that - while it's possible the mother might just be a total idiot, she's more likely to have been told that her daughter would be at severe risk of suicide if she didn't "affirm" her daughter's "true gender identity."

It's possible that the woman probably finds it as grotesque as the rest of us but thinks if it's between that and saving her daughter's life...

Which is why, if that's the case, the scum who told her that need to be sued for so much that they'll never pay it off.

Dreadful to find out that he's at Imperial College London, no less and there was me thinking that in his case GP stood for 'great prick'

Some working or studying at ICL, although intelligent, have an unusual grasp of human interactions. It's not uncommon for highly intelligent people in academia to have a loose grasp of how 'normal' society behaves as they see themselves as the 'elite' and above all that. Social skills are deemed as mere fripperies. Yes, I worked there and 'with' them.

My sister is an M.D. and "intelligent." She has an emotional IQ of zero. To quote her, she "killed a few people" when she practiced. I do not find her intelligent, I find her horrifying and pathetic. And for some reason the medical profession seems to attract these people, possibly because the power they have makes them drool with pleasure.

Exactly this. Don't get me started on the 'mistakes' that I have heard medics 'discuss'. Usually in a pre-night-on-the-town bonding, bragging kind of way that some student proto professionals have. Or when in meetings and it's all 'professionals' not 'the public'. I have literally, actually, vomited at some things I have heard, with the expectation that I will laugh along and this will show I am part of the club. No thank you. I have chosen not to associate with some again because of this and they are still happily now in the NHS and in senior positions. Some women can be the worst, in some obvious attempt to pass unnoticed or gain promotion in an incredibly competitive and misogynistic culture. The Royal Colleges know this happens and the crisis in recruitment and retention isn't a coincidence. It's called the feminisation of the clinical workforce. But shh let's not discuss that...

My sister is very male-identified, in the sense used in second-wave feminism, and I would guess that the women you mention are the same. You have all my sympathy for what you have gone through and may go through in your work life.

Spot on again Susan. Thank you. I went to an Independent Girls Day School (there were boarders too). I realise many, but not all, 'feminine' traits were trained out of us. Which was a good thing as it allowed us to get through doors (or know how to) and at least stand a chance of competing with men on a vaguely slightly more level playing field. Quite a few of us have ended up in Government or advising it. And many of us have got really peed off with random barriers to access. I find the 2% of BBC staff getting a very disproportionate voice is troubling.

The life of Jan Morris on BBC R4 now people. 20.00 GMT. Likely worth a listen!

The photo was one of the saddest sights I’ve seen but that quote about a lovers caress is painful. We can all recall being young and learning gradually about love and sex if we’re lucky. This girl has been cruelly deprived of that natural development and if she is on medication much worse is to come. These perpetrators have no shame.

Allison Bailey- not Allison Phillips!

But absolutely true. I heard her speech and it was caring and genuine, nothing remotely distasteful or inappropriate.

I note that Tom is HIV+.

If he was born 40 years earlier lesbians like Alison would be wiping his arse and sitting with him in their spare time while he was left to slowly die, alone, in terrible pain abandoned by friends, family, and medical professionals alike in isolated hospital wards.

God ,what a speech !! Absolutely wonderful . Made me want to cry ,even though I'm not lesbian !! With people like her on our side ,there's a lot more hope. She spoke with such eloquence and sincerity and every word was the complete ,unvarnished truth . I have already supported the LGB Alliance with small donations and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future ,whenever I can. Glad they're there! So ,well done to Alison and all the other women like her . Keep up the good fight x

Listening to Allison Bailey reminding us of that bitch Thatcher's Section 28 brings back the nasty 80s. Those trans activists claiming marginalisation want to speak to gays and lesbians, and here, especially gay men who lived under the double whammy of Thatcher's homophobia and the 'gay plague' as AIDS was known.

I remember walking past a gay pub in Vauxhall and a car with some wankers inside drove past and two of said wankers yelled 'AIDS! AIDS!' out the window. Horrible stuff.

That Allison is finding trans activists worse than those bastards from the 80s says a lot.

A few months back now, I rang the surgical partner of Mr. Miles Berry, talking about in this article: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8517287/Outrage-cosmetic-surgery-company-sells-T-shirts-scars.html. He claimed he was unaware what his partner was doing, by selling these T shirts and assured me he'd get that sorted. He did. I asked him if he knew what he wanted from life, who he was, how he felt about himself, sexually, when he was still a teenager, to the point of knowing that it was RIGHT to get bits of his body chopped off....He went very quiet. He had to be silent, as the answer to that question was "No, I had no idea who I was when I was a teenager'. I wonder if he ever envisaged chopping off the healthy breasts of young women? I also spoke to the clinic itself, as they are now tarred with the same Brush Of Revulsion, albeit, they refused to comment, but I made sure they listened. Graham, you referred to surgeons who do this as Mengele doctors/surgeons, I recall, when interviewed by BBC Newsnight by that awful woman who had not an ounce of interest, nor empathy, who was so hostile towards you. You were absolutely correct.

Richard Ma seems to be projecting something about himself into Alison Bailey's words. She's talking about very young women making decisions which will permanently change their bodies, and how they can experience sex before they've had the chance to explore their sexuality or have a sexual relationship.

If anything is 'creepy', it's the reality of that and what lies behind it.

An article in today's Sunday Times, 'BBC Chief tells staff: Get used to hearing views you don't like', had a wonderfully revealing bit. It told of a heated Zoom meeting of the BBC LGBT staff's 'Pride Network' with the current head of news, Fran Unsworth.

A BBC journalist who'd attended said, "Fran was totally calm but determined about it. She was reacting to questions from the network that implied people shouldn't come across views they disliked. To me, it felt like she was having to explain journalism to idiots."

Why would he bother? If he did hear it, he wouldn't listen to what she was saying and think about it. His mind and his agenda are set.

This is a random comment, but I was just listening to "Uprising" by Muse in my car and think it works brilliantly for RadFem TERFS like us, what do you all think?

Paranoia is in bloom

The PR transmissions will resume

They'll try to push drugs that keep us all dumbed down

And hope that we will never see the truth around

(So come on)

Another promise, another scene

Another packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed

And all the green belts wrapped around our minds

And endless red tape to keep the truth confined

(So come on)

They will not force us

They will stop degrading us

They will not control us

We will be victorious

(So come on)

Interchanging mind control

Come, let the revolution take its toll

If you could flick the switch and open your third eye

You'd see that we should never be afraid to die

(So come on)

Rise up and take the power back

It's time the fat cats had a heart attack

You know that their time's coming to an end

We have to unify and watch our flag ascend

(So come on)

They will not force us

They will stop degrading us

They will not control us

We will be victorious

(So come on)

They will not force us

They will stop degrading us

They will not control us

We will be victorious

I always think ‘War’ by Bob Marley is fitting (if you replace race with sex and a few other words :)

“Until the philosophy which hold one *sex* superior

And another inferior

Is finally and permanently

Discredited and abandoned

Everywhere is war

Me say war

That until there no longer first class and second class citizens of any nation

Until the *sex* of a *human's* skin is of no more significance than the colour of her eyes

Me say war

That until the basic human rights are equally guaranteed to all

Without regard to *sex*

Dis a war

That until that day, dream of lasting peace, world citizenship

Rule of international morality

Will remain in but a fleeting illusion to be pursued, but never attained

Now everywhere is war

War

And until the ignoble and unhappy regimes that hold our *sisters* in Canada

In Netherlands, America

Sub-human bondage have been toppled, utterly destroyed

Well, everywhere is war

Me say war

War in the east

War in the west

War up north

War down south

War, war

Rumours of war

And until that day *all continents* will not know peace

We *terfs* will fight, we find it necessary

And we know we shall win, as we are confident

In the victory

Of good over evil

Good over evil, yeah

Good over evil

Good over evil, yeah

Good over evil

Good over evil, yeah
