Yes, we must never forget how important Graham was and still is in this fight. I don't think anyone has brought so many people together over this issue and no one has so consistently encouraged all who fought for sanity. And never once did Graham flinch.
I am very careful to use the word hero. Graham is one, right up there with Kathleen, Julie, Jane Clare, Allison and Maya. Each of them did their bit, and more than anyone could possibly ask.
Graham has been wonderful. No, he hasn't flinched, though this fight has cost him so much. This is terribly grim stuff, it's so easy to become dispirited, but Graham's indefatigably is encouraging and reassuring. He is hugely important in this, regardless of whether he'd be comfortable with that reality. He, all the people you mention and more have been superb in their efforts, and finally it's paying off.
I was in touch with Thoughtful Therapists via email, didnt get back to them because 'life',(older family members health needs etc.) I am going to get back in touch and get back to psychotherapy and counselling for CYP who need someone to listen properly.
Surely the Hattrick clowns cannot object to ‘Ted the Musical’ going ahead now with Graham at the helm? He has been VINDICATED by this news. And also recent developments including Alison’s victory yesterday etc
Surely Hattrick’s continuing behaviour now must meet the legal standard for attempting to unfairly grab Graham’s rightful share, not only of potential income but also of his intellectual property. It is becoming a form of coercive control of our Graham.
I agree.. What will happen is the SNP Government will agree to take patients from England and child butchery will carry on. Remember Nicola Sturgeon's government think that a woman is anyone who defines themselves as a woman. Her Ministers are not willing to speak with women's groups re our fears about enabling transwomen to access single sex spaces. NS herself supports the appt of Mridul Wadhwa to Rape Crisis Centres as manager and has never condemned his attitude to women who don't want to share a "safe space" with men. The Sandford may well become the UK Centre for trans treatment as NS and her Green henchmen will see it as getting one over on the Tory Government at Westminster. Sometimes I hate being Scottish!!
Too right Asha - Scotland's shame. I was at the Sandyford years ago when a young tomboy looking girl was in with her Mum. Haunts me to this day what they might have done to that child.
This is such good news, it's fucking brilliant 🥳🎊🍾 It's thanks to the hard work and dedication of so many wonderful people. A massive thank you for every single person involved in this, you're all stars xxxx ❤️❤️
I've been a bit down after yesterday's result from the Alison Bailey trial, because of the inevitable spin of "Stonewall Won" that's been bandied about, but THIS - wow, this has done everything to cheer me up and more.
I never saw it coming, so the surprise is extra-sweet.
Brilliant news! At the very least, an end to the myth that its practices are safe.
I hope the new regional centres will have the appropriate guidance and oversight, though. On one hand, it seems as though it might be easier for them to avoid scrutiny, but on the other, placing accountability in the hands of hospitals and health trusts seems like a good idea.
Hopefully it will cut down on waiting times, too. Some of those children need treatment, even though the answer isn't affirmative-only care and puberty blockers. I hope they will be equipped to provide the kind of talking therapies that will help children feel more at ease with themselves.
My thoughts exactly on who will be running them and who will have access to determine appropriate treatment. Parents must be given access and help as well, of course. This place is an ants nest I'm sure! What will be discovered when papers and records are given the light of day and shown to, hopefully, more enlightened doctors. Dare we live in hope for these kids future??
I hope so. The emphasis on multi-disciplinary teams is promising, also. Those, to some extent, can provide day to day oversight and make sure one aspect of mental health is not prioritised above another.
There's still plenty of room for it all to go horribly wrong, but the fact that they are acting now, rather than waiting until the full report is out, seems highly significant and hopeful.
Well done to you who has kept banging the drum and made so many more people aware of what has been going on. A young friend of the family got 'treatment' there only a few years back. A few weeks past her (to his) 16th birthday. School was fully aware but parents were informed as a fait accompli after the fact. Diagnosed with autism a few months after that. We are hoping things turn out well for her in the longrun. It wouldn't have been allowed now thanks to everyone who has campaigned on this issue.
Mermaids next. Their malign influence on paediatric care must end.
Vindication for yourself, as well.
Thank you for banging this drum. It'll never be forgotten.
Yes many congratulations and heart felt thanks to Graham - must be pretty bad stuff in the Review for this to happen without notice
Yes, so much thanks xxx

Would be nice for him to get OBE
We could ask Boris Johnston to include Graham on his leaving list of honours. Lord Linehan of Oireland sounds good.
No, Lord Linehan of TermonFECKin would be the ideal title. By the way Termonfeckin is a real village in Co Louth
Yeah-- the entire NATURE of the place (and the ideology underlying it), I think!
Yes, thanks so much for championing our kids Graham, this is wonderful wonderful news! x
I'm crying .Thank goodness.
Thinking of David Bell, Sonia ppaleby, Keira Bell and many more.
Writing about this in my dissertation last year almost cost me my degree and sanity. I had to scrap the whole thing after years of research.
It also stopped me from working with teenagers as I m trained to do.I couldnt countenance affirmation only.
I'm so glad and relieved they shut the bastards down.
I hope you can return to working with them soon. These young people are going to need support from adults with their heads screwed on.
Thanks Sazzle, I agree.

I'm relieved you will return to working with young people Cheryl and hope one day you complete and publish your research findings.
Cheers Anne.x

Good point.

Brilliant. And not just for children in the UK. They were also pimping their services in Ireland.
Well done to you all - heroes!
Now we just need to shut the Sandyford clinic in Scotland down too

If Sandyford or the SNP tries this I will be a permanent protestor outside.
I will bring you tea and scones... I live along the road!
I used to live in Finnieston when I was at school so that’s my home ground too.
Me too.x
Count me in.
I wonder if we will be the same people who protested outside the Sheriff Court about Marion Millar’s persecution? Or at Holyrood booing Nicola?
Very likely, I've got a taste for it now. 😊
And this is urgent with the nutcases we have in charge here.
Too right Asha - Scotland's shame. I was at the Sandyford years ago when a young tomboy looking girl was in with her Mum. Haunts me to this day what they might have done to that child.
What a week! Allison’s case, 2 year trans toddler scandal and now this!
Thank you Graham.
What the hell. This is huge.
I’m so shocked I forgot the ?

Let the court cases begin!
Well done
Off with their heads!
Oh my gods this is INCREDIBLE NEWS!
I've been a bit down after yesterday's result from the Alison Bailey trial, because of the inevitable spin of "Stonewall Won" that's been bandied about, but THIS - wow, this has done everything to cheer me up and more.
I never saw it coming, so the surprise is extra-sweet.
Dawn Butler MP, never the sharpest tool in the box, Tweeted 'congratulations on winning' to Stonewall.
Well... of course she did.
*facepalm*
Dawn Butler is about as sharp as a blunted spoon.
Marvellous news

That's great news but why did anyone think it was a good idea in the first place!
It was incremental, like the frogs in the pot of boiling water not noticing it gradually get hotter. Until they couldn't not notice.
One down...
