Good god, those posters on the Cookd and Bombd threads are the saddest thing I’ve ever seen on the internet. Just snide blokes with no lives talking about you constantly. You can almost smell the stink of their failure. Not a single one of them is funny, just self-important childish knobheads. Grim stuff.
I read some of the comments, but they get tedious very quickly. It's possible to dismiss or berate someone, fair and reasonable or not, and do it with wit. That thread is witless, repetitive garbage. It's a bit tragic really. I was going to say I'm surprised anyone associated with it doesn't shut the fuck up in case people find out what dicks they are, but it's likely that all but the individuals themselves are gonna know that already.
I had a look a while back when Glinner first discovered the depths of their tragic obsession - it’s like the failed comedy incel network of doom and cognitive dissonance - CRINGE

Good luck with that. I don't know anything about Neil Kennedy but going by a google search he seems to be concerned about 'internet bullying,' while at the same time hosting comments like:
"You'd think Glinner would be horrified but he's pleased when his worst opinions are confirmed, and delighted to read stories about kids being abused. And excited to tell others the good news."
So, to apply "Rowling's Razor," he's either dumb enough to believe that or cowardly enough (or nasty enough) to pretend he believes it.
Dear Graham, I don't know how you stand it. It's like being in a hurricane, 24/7, with nowhere to get out of the appalling power that is directed against you. Please be reassured that your supporters here will ALWAYS support you until you are vindicated. YOU ARE RIGHT!
I am getting more hopeful that the truth is getting out bit by bit. For example the Daily Mail has two double page spreads today, Saturday 26th March, on Trans matters. And on the front page some Minister is promising (?Daily Mail putting words in his mouth?) a British Bill of Rights, with "free speech" as the central theme. Fingers and toes crossed and much love.
The brilliant thing about such a show is that it would have natural diversity. Most of the people attacked by these guys are women, people of colour. All the heroes would be like that and all the villains would be straight white men.
I agree. More so than the IT Crowd, Count Arthur Strong has plenty of pathos as well as comedy but that's what I meant: the whole trans debate is so utterly nasty and humourless it would be very difficult to detach the understandably negative emotions from the writing to produce something funny.
Maybe this subject (the trans-travesty) is better suited to drama than comedy? Might Graham write it in that form instead? Or what about a really dark satire on the order of "Black Mirror"? Perhaps even something reminiscent of Huxley's "Brave New World"? (Though that wasn't written for the screen/stage, of course.)
Oh, hi, Graham! So nice to hear from you! I'd been hoping to write a comment that'd catch your attention :) (It ain't just the trans who are "validation"-seekers!)
Yeah, this entire subject is pretty much Poe's Law personified, isn't it? And in a way that's so grimdark it'd give even the likes of "Black Mirror" pause.
Have you ever written drama before? Embarrassed to say it, but I'm not familiar with your work-- I didn't know who you were when I first came here, actually. Just saw some of the Update's pieces posted on LGBDropTheT.
That's certainly my default reaction but I read there are also people who are professionals and in relationships who enjoy the sheer malice of it. It's awful not to be able to dismiss all trolls as sad bastards.
I have looked at his new Twitter account. He is pretty ranty, but is getting no responses, just his own responses. One or two Likes but mostly zero. Bit desperate I’d say. He’s a nobody really, nasty little one but.
I have reported the account, but on Twitter there’s no option to report that he’s opened a new account. I selected the suspicious option, then the something else option.

One of the good things about these people, all you have to do is let people meet them.

Haha I got some more money from Cookd and Bombd members.

Are you still looking for info on Neil Kennedy? I think I have some that will help!
Yes thanks! If you reply to a substack email the message will get to me!
I replied but I'm not sure if it got through to you.

I'd go with dumb and nasty. Oh, and cowardly.
Textbook case of "shoot the messenger".

Graham can you write a “trans” subject comedy and get it crowd funded - I’d love to see something like that. Such a waste when we all need laughs
That sounds like a great idea but it must be difficult to write on this without getting too angry to find something funny to say.
Graham isn’t mean though - IT crowd had a sort of emotional intelligence (if those are the right words). The world is so short of laughs at the moment
The brilliant thing about such a show is that it would have natural diversity. Most of the people attacked by these guys are women, people of colour. All the heroes would be like that and all the villains would be straight white men.
Just reminded me of Neil Pierson’s character in Bridget Jones - he suddenly got a woke bro hipster beard to impress the new management. Made me laugh
🤭

You don’t need to Black Mirror it. You just have to plant a camera in front of what actually happened. I agree it’s better suited to drama.

I've reported the k**b on twitter, what a bell-end.
How would anyone with a job and a real life have the time to tweet so much? I'm guessing these men are lacking at least one of those things.
That's certainly my default reaction but I read there are also people who are professionals and in relationships who enjoy the sheer malice of it. It's awful not to be able to dismiss all trolls as sad bastards.
I'm surprised Driscoll ever had time to use twitter when he's got about forty sock accounts on gettr to maintain.

We gottim good. We’ll see what the cops say about Kennedy next.
He does like to carry on a bit with himself.
