this man reminds me of the nuns in school demanding I believe the wafer was ‘gods flesh’, I knew it wasn’t god, it was just a wafer, but the more I questioned it the angrier they got. When they can’t defend their ideology they vilify, smear and attack

They themselves know that their claims are untrue. Just like the nuns in your school knew the wafer was just a wafer. They have to make themselves believe what they claim to know as fact all the time. That is the reason why they have to chant their creeds and why they have to make others chant their creeds. That is the only way the can overcome their cognitive dissonance. Anyone pointing out the obvious just enhances that dissonance and has to be shut up or expelled from the group. This is how religions work.

It’s more than just religions, it’s Governments, finiancial institutions and most other man made up socially engineered they’ve brainwashed us and themselves into believing. None is actually scientific, provable or real. The losses and trauma we feel from the death cult is real and this fantastical bs is just the next phase in erasing humanity and reality with women and children (the underclasss) as it’s primary target. This is the battle line that must not be crossed if there’s any hope whatsoever but just that…the one final straw.

Nevertheless, it works exactly like a religion because it is, in essence, one. As such, we must fight it with the same tools with which we have successfully fought religion and its role in political and public life in the past.

Farid Esak pointed out that capitalism is a religion, good grief it's the straightforward worship of the golden calf. He said, "Look, it even has tracts!" referring to advertisements. And god forbid in the U.S. if you are an anti-capitalist, you are the devil incarnate. This is what humans do, they make everything that is made-up (exists only in our minds) into a religion and they will kill people who don't believe in their god.

At best this wafer business they do is celebrating cannibalism. Nothing surprises me about how perverse religions are anymore. They’re actually the satanist’s perpetuating and covering up their abuses of humanity and playing God sadly. Utterly delusional.

I just saw the "shrill" comment on Twitter. Is anyone producing a bingo card of misogynist comments? He seems to be going through them all!

He's ticked anther one - "GC is the same as anti-gay rhetoric in the 80s". https://twitter.com/thejamesmax/status/1476656286397784074?t=SQtZk9o1fJumrEEGzrPROg&s=19

Voices getting higher to penetrate his cognitive blockage. I think he’s nearly there but he’s struggling with the realisation of it being made up stuff -like father Xmas - more comfortable for him to park his mind back Pre Kelly J and DH encounters. He was clutching his stonewall notes like they were the Dead Sea scrolls this morning.

James * it is shocking - the biggest con of all time has been taken as truth *

Yes, sees himself in trans blokes and yet seems wants to push them out of the Man Box lest it reflect badly on him. I wish these men could sort themselves the fuck out and leave women and children alone. Same old, same old; in a dress.

Graham was right to point out homosexual men often love and prefer men and often are ignorant of and care less about women except to bitch about as men do being the appalling liars and gossips they are.😂

Expand full comment

Agree. When I am feeling this way I look at Dennis Noel Kavanagh's (@Jebadoo2) Twitter feed, and his band of thoughtful gay men, to console me a bit

Expand full comment

The assumptions men conditioned under patriarchy to consider what feels good for them only aren’t good for anyone or anything women, children or homosexuals. So allies who see this are precious. They make life a really hard and ridiculous road for everyone else and do it by violence and oppression and deluding themselves they have that right through fantastical leaps of no logic whatsoever. It seems really really thick to me.

I hate to say it, but there's a large percentage of "heterosexual" men who love and prefer other men. There was a great discussion on Feminist Current a number of years ago about sportscasters and the way they talk about athletes' bodies. Gross.

I don't think he's very keen on women, but he can't be too obvious unless he gets the perfect opportunity. He can be as dismissive and contemptuous as he likes when he's talking to women who are cancelled 'baddies'. Hateful terfs who want to see the whole trans population suffer and die. Perfectly rational arguments about protecting women's spaces and preventing us from having vulnerability forced on us, are a not very effective smokescreen for being the bigoted terfs we really are.

It's a tactic lots of prominent misogynists use. Owen Jones, for instance. He has to pretend he cares about women and women's rights, blah, blah, but he can ditch all that when a terf pops up. He had a field day shitting on his Guardian colleague, Suzanne Moore, and he got her other colleagues to join him. He, and that nauseating publication again showed their true colours.

The man is a simpering, cowardly fuckwit on his own, but he gets all big and brave when he's taking on bad women. It's all for the greater good, of course, so it's legitimate and some women are cheering him on, so he's safe. Yes! Go OJ! Actually, do go and stay gone you prick.

Totally agree. What a brilliant, 'progressive' excuse to express his disdain for us

The absolute cherry on the cake of steaming misogyny was when Helen Joyce called him out & he accused her of not realising there’s another side to the debate.

Yes: that Helen Joyce.

I think he doesn’t know who she is but just clocked her as another of those pesky women who shrilly disagree.

Yes. My point is Joyce writes for the Economist. I’d have thought they’d read each other... or at least have seen the byline.

The word: SHRILL

Literally, it means having a high-pitched tone. But when referring to women, it's as good as saying a woman should be seen and not heard.

I quite like 'you people'. I don't get shrill too often (coz male) but 'you people' - hear it all the time.

Thank you for the link. What's funny is that it reminds me of the person who said all the men on National Public Radio in the U.S. sound like Truman Capote and all the women like Bella Abzug. Her voice must have been two registers below his!

This man is an absolutely appalling poor excuse for a human being and even if he is trying to be a 'controversial' show host I don't think Talk Radio should be platforming someone so utterly misogynistic in this day and age. With every new tweet and interview he just gets worse, and all the time twisting it to blame women, and make us out as hateful individuals for wanting to protect our rights.

Excruciating to see and hear, yesterday and this morning !

My blood pressure was going through the absolute roof.

This was verbal ‘pinning the tail on the donkey’ blindly stabbing his little drawing pin in, hoping to make a hit. His patronising tone was so rational and conciliatory, I was waiting for the self pat on the head, telling us what a good boy he was !

Then, at least I literally ( ha ) laughed out loud, as Jonathon the Cervix congratulated him …. that was worth it’s weight in gold 😂

Engagement by academics is required on Wikipedia. After this profile raising, curious minds will go to google and search for context. The admins and moderators at Wikipedia are seemingly not as impartial as they would have you believe. But they do understand message board and search algorithms and with families at home they also understand search engine traffic will increase around these subjects. Over the last few days including Christmas Day there have been a number of amends made to pages on Wikipedia that have skewed otherwise quite neutral pages. For example check out: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Rapid-onset_gender_dysphoria_controversy

We need academics and any Wikipedia moderators to engage in these talks and also provide amendments to pages using articles, quotes and citations of academic/medical literature along with rationale so that these pages can be rebalanced.

Despite its shortcomings most people (and politicians) use Wikipedia as a trusted source and these pages do not reflect current thinking in dysphoria, rogd, detransition or any of the vital topics and research that demonstrate the harm being done.

Expand full comment

No one should use Wikipedia as a trusted source. Woman = Laverne Cox. Wikipedia is fine to look up an actor's filmography, but it is not a source for serious subjects. People who use it for that need to learn to use genuine reference materials of which there is a surfeit. And I would strongly suggest that Wikipedia is bought as they used to beg me for money.
