I was recently on vacation in Germany and got into a conversation with an Australian tourist while traveling on the light rail back to the airport. I mentioned that things seemed a bit crazy in Australia right now because of the recent court ruling against Sal Grover. He was bewildered and said he had heard nothing at all about it. People really don't know what is going on.

The 'people' I was thinking of are the 'trans allies' in our governments, universities, trades unions, public sector and charities who have been enabling and pushing the madness. The misinformation coming from the trans lobby is absolutely huge, and a lot of the problem is that the topic is complex and confusing. I remember 5-10 years ago seeing a short interview with one of the founders of the gay rights movement. He was asked about trans people, and to him, it was a no-brainer -- he saw no reason not to include them with the LGBs. What he didn't realize was how tenacious and demanding the group would be, or how they would want to change all of our relationships.
I experienced that in the 1980's when I met a gay man out in public. (I've talked about this before, but it still sticks in my mind.) We found a private place to fool around, but all he wanted to do was to make high-pitched sounds like a woman. He seemed to be trying to embody the feeling of being a woman with his voice. He didn't get aroused, and nothing happened between us. But I did give him my number (the guy was gorgeous), and when he called me soon after, he was incredibly demanding on the phone. He told me that it was a relief to meet someone who understood people like him, and I had to tell him that, no, I didn't. After that he became angry, especially when I told him not to call me again. He refused to promise not to call me again. There was so much anger and entitlement in him that I was spooked. I called the phone company after that and had them change my phone number.
I believe that for those people who have real gender dysphoria, the need to be the opposite sex is deep and nonnegotiable -- sort of like me and my homosexuality. I have thought about it all my life, and it goes deeper than needing father love or anything like that. I could have had the most loving father in the world, and I still would have been gay. In the case of trans people -- and I'm sorry to get metaphysical on you folks again -- but I think it's a deep spiritual thing, as if they chose the wrong sex before birth (I believe in reincarnation).
But the world has more of a problem than that, which is that transgenderism has become a fad. And for reasons I can't understand, the people who are part of the fad seem as determined as the ones with true gender dysphoria.
For the public to dispute all the crap coming from trans people, they would all need psychiatric degrees. Few people are willing to delve into the topic that deeply.
A lot of people don't know what's happening because transactivists are pretty good at terrorising and silencing "transphobes"--by maligning, terrorising and punishing any "transphobe" they can't silence.

I think that is one of the reasons Trump is so popular: He gives people permission to feel superior to others. He allows them to feel their most piggish feelings without being embarrassed. Sadly I think that in cultures based on competition, yes--everyone is to a degree always measuring themselves against others. And it seems that in humans this tends to be particularly pronounced for males: with the concept of "alpha" and "beta" males borrowed from behavioural studies of other primates (gorillas?).
So it's not so surprising that male competitiveness persists despite transition: though somewhat skewed from its "normal" expression into competitive victimhood.
