Or maybe it’s more important to misrepresent the source?
How is “misgendering” a thing? We correctly or incorrectly identify a person’s sex. That’s what pronouns are for. Not for announcing invisible personality traits.
I mentioned to Katie on Twitter that she said on the podcast that there are some people who she doesn't think are genuinely transgender and she won't use their preferred pronouns. So she can see some occasions where she thinks misgendering is okay and defensible or it's only okay when she does it? A position of "I misgender some of the time but you have to use preferred pronouns all of the time" isn't a compelling argument either.
Gotta respect Buck for his bravery (but perhaps not for his profession 😉) Imagine the hate mail he receives for breaking ranks regarding the "oppressed" narrative.
Genuine question: Is it not disingenuous to lump together M2F and F2M like they're *trying* to do when the sexual predation factor is mitigated if they're F2M?
As many westernised governments fight for votes across the globe they have come up with a new vote winner; to remove all bars and barriers in zoos and wildlife parks across the globe as they no longer seem appropriate in modern democracies. Governments have been consulting widely across their populations and the response is overwhelmingly in favour of removing these outdated protections. However there is a growing group of concerned parents who are telling us that they haven’t been consulted and what’s more they have often been up and close a personal with these animals at feeding time when on many an occasion, when the animals have been invited closer they have often tried to having a cheeky fondle.
We couldn’t find any government wiling to talk although the Scottish SNP did give this statement - ‘The Penguins are being hysterical. Part of our plans involves putting up clear signage to let the animals know that the molesting of penguins will not be tolerated. We’re also lowering the prices of food and drinks in our outlets to make sure the animals are well fed and have their hands stuffed in popcorn boxes are they wandering around. This is a bold progressive move to set us in the path to a fairer society as for too long some of the animals just haven’t felt that they can enjoy our zoos with all these barriers. So what if a few penguins get hurt from time to time, the vast majority will be just fine. If an animal is intent on hurting a penguin, barriers are not going to stop them - so the penguins just better shut up and get over it
Again, they're protesting against problems that don't exist. Trans people belong everywhere? Said as though they're subjected to Apartheid. There are literally no laws keeping them out of schools or politics (or even sport, although that's a more contested issue).
