So the bullies are now claiming the open letter was never about Suzanne at all. Seriously, have you ever come across anyone as stupid as these idiots? It truly beggars belief

You would have to have become pretty proficient at gaslighting those in your personal life to seriously imagine that outsiders would believe THAT, would you not?! It's a strange claim...

The article is also very powerful. I was utterly dismayed when I saw that letter was signed by two female columnists: Eva Wiseman and Coco Khan, as well as the book pages(!) editor, Sian Cain. They will learn soon enough that will not save them - the witchfinders will come for them, too.

At the end of the day, they are just women, and for some men, it’ll always, always be “bros before hoes”. Unfortunately, you usually have to get to a certain age to understand it - young women resist this knowledge because it’s effing depressing, especially if you are straight - I’m speaking from personal experience.

They know it deep down and that's why they're seeking approval. Like a teenager who seeks approval from the class bully. They don't want the class bully to turn on them

The whole article is a great read.

Why would The Guardian push a woman writer into the lifestyle section when she'd won a prestigious award for political writing? She details all the little snipes and arrows and the tribalism of political writing, you're either with us or against us. She speaks for herself better than I can sum it up but it sounds like a pretty hostile environment, not only on the basis of sex, but of association.

Yes, she's "disgruntled" a little but who wouldn't be. She doesn't seem like a far-right assassin to me.*

The Guardian always, always shuts off comments when they know they'll get pushback. They used to be more open and welcoming of participation from the hoi polloi.

They know the hoi polloi ain't buying what they're selling on the transgender front.
