Fans of these dispatches will remember Sally Hines as a co-author of the second-most appalling thing to have happened here in hell. Namely, Medical uncertainty and reproduction of the “normal”’, the disgusting paper which argued that pregnant 'transmen' (women who identify as trans) should continue to take testosterone during pregnancy despite the risks to the baby. These risks were overblown, the paper argued, and “imbued with normative judgments about potential fetal outcomes*.
When not encouraging mothers to harm their own children irrevocably, Hines works with FGEN (Feminist Gender Equality Network), and co-authored, I believe, this extraordinary email they sent out to their mailing list, forwarded to me by someone on it. It’s a list of easily disprovable talking points presented with no supporting evidence. It reads like instructions given to members of a cult.

Urgent: Make Your Voice Heard in the EHRC Consultation on Equality and Rights
I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to draw your attention to a crucial opportunity to influence the future of equality and human rights in the UK. The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has opened a public consultation on their draft strategic plan for 2025-2028, which runs until the end of October. You can access the consultation and fill in the survey via the following link: EHRC Public Consultation.
One of the key themes of the draft plan is “Justice and the Balance of Rights,” with specific reference to sex and gender. It is essential that we, as advocates for equality, make our voices heard to ensure the plan reflects accurate and inclusive understandings of these issues. Here are some important points to consider when filling out the survey:
1. No Tension Between Women's and Trans Rights: Emphasise that there is no inherent conflict between the rights of women and trans people. The existing legal framework concerning women's spaces has been effective without any evidence of harm to women.
2. Trans Inclusivity in Women’s Spaces: Highlight that many women’s spaces, such as refuges, have long been inclusive of trans women without issues.
3. Sources of Harm in Prisons: Point out that evidence shows harm to women in prisons comes from inmates of the same biological sex or from prison staff, not from trans women.
4. Sources of Sexual Violence: Stress that sexual violence against women and girls is overwhelmingly perpetrated by men known to the victims and occurs primarily in domestic, not public, spaces.
Additionally, it is important to challenge the premise that there is a tension between trans and women’s rights, as this notion is discriminatory and unfounded. Trans women are women under the Equality Act. This supposed conflict has been manufactured by a small but vocal gender-critical movement, which has been amplified by certain media outlets over the past five years.
Please also consider pointing out the harmful effects of this manufactured conflict, such as increased harassment and violence against trans people. Highlight that women are among the most supportive demographics of trans rights and that there is a long history of collaboration between movements advocating for the rights of women and trans people.
Finally, draw attention to the fact that the UK currently holds one of the worst records on trans rights internationally, as recognized by numerous human rights organisations. Stress the importance of valuing differences and moving away from divisive and unrepresentative gender-critical politics.
Your participation in this consultation is vital to ensure a fair and inclusive future for all. Let’s make our voices heard and advocate for the rights and equality of all individuals.
Thank you for your time and support.
Best regards,
FGEN
As always, it is the Orwellian nature of the trans rhetoric that impresses i.e. it is the shameless REVERSAL of reality. Take this:
“Additionally, it is important to challenge the premise that there is a tension between trans and women’s rights, as this notion is discriminatory and unfounded. Trans women are women under the Equality Act. This supposed conflict has been manufactured by a small but vocal gender-critical movement, which has been amplified by certain media outlets over the past five years.”
The term “gender critical” is pure Orwell. The word “critical” implies something outside the norm, something that rejects the customary way. You would therefore think that “gender critical” refers to those who are advocating the new “genderism” i.e. the transgender activists. But the reverse is the case. “Gender critical” refers – astonishingly – to those holding fast to the OLD (and only coherent) use of the word “gender” i.e. to signify sex. And so it is the NEW approach – the redefinition of the word “gender” as some kind of free-for-all blank space – that is taken to be the norm!
Thus when this execrable email above says, “a small but vocal gender-critical movement”, it is talking about THE WHOLE BASIS OF SEXUALITY AS PRESUMED FOR COUNTLESS MILLENNIA!
The description “small but vocal .... movement, which has been amplified by certain media outlets” applies to the trans movement. And let’s face it: it’s not just “certain media outlets” but the WHOLE media.
This is evil—everything they say is an easily disprovable lie!!
