I will once again refer to John Grisham, the writer of thrillers, who stated that there should be no women's prisons because women rarely commit violent crimes and the women in prison usually only made the mistake of choosing the wrong boyfriends. But in a country where women are in prison for not paying their TV license fees?

It is a vile insult to victims who know what sex abused them, to women as these are not our crimes, and to prisoners who have to share their facilities. How is this a right? Sussex police are a fucking disgrace, I'd like to see every senior officer suspended and investigated. I'm wondering how much harm and suffering female inmates have to endure, before anyone begins to think that this might be a bad idea. Women have already been sexually assaulted and raped. A woman is going to die at some stage, but I don't think one is going to matter enough.
