I would happily join the demo, but I am a man. I assume that's okay, but I understand if you want it to be women only (or only those men who are known to the demostrators).
IMHO we need more men like you prepared to add their voices and support. I totally get that it can feel uncomfortable for men if they try and support and are not welcomed by all women. But I always appreciate seeing men at meetings/ demos esp. those who don’t feel the need to centre themselves and speak up but are there for moral support.
I echo the thought of others that have replied here. Women need the support of men to win this. At the moment it is easy to blame TERFs and feminism but if we can show it is a concern across society and that men are allied with women in this matter, that's a huge bonus. It's why we also need more trans people who do not buy into the ideology joining too (and some have). There will always be those who point the finger at men and say it's not your fight, but this is a matter for society and men have as much right to protest this I believe. So thank you.
Good on you. Personally I am buoyed by the amount of men on this substack including Glinner who are standing by women and realise it is a matter for society as a whole and not "someone else's fight".
So you know how this started, here's an extract from Hansard dated 1st December 2016:
The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Women and Equalities
(Caroline Dinenage)
Several hon. Members, not least my hon. Friend the Member for Bath, who has campaigned hard on the issue, talked about managing offenders. When I was a Justice Minister, my hon. Friend and I worked closely on a number of particular incidents that he raised. Managing transgender offenders has been a major concern and we have taken action. A number of events involving transgender prisoners in autumn 2015 highlighted the need for the policy on their treatment to be given a more fundamental reappraisal. When I was in the Ministry of Justice, I led on that work and last month the Government published their review and confirmed the position. That is why we will, from now on, manage anyone received into services run by the National Offender Management Service in the gender with which they identify rather than the sex assigned to them at birth.
I sadly can't be there but I am so bloody angry for the complicity that prioritises men's feelings over women's actual safety. I can support by sharing this speech and advertising the demonstration though. Good luck to everyone who attends. I hope it is covered properly by the mainsteam media.
Me too! I haven't got time to make a banner but have loads of stickers. Is there a Glinner Gang identifier we could add to our lapels next to our stickers? The only thing I can think of is a paperclip or a bulldog clip? You need some merch Graham! A glinner badge would be great... Maybe I'll wrap a tunnocks teacake wrapper around an old badge? Be nice to meet other substack subscribers....
Posie only really does enamel pins. And it might be a bit weird to ask her. I could make one on a site like zaffle - if Graham sent me a high quality resolution image. Then anyone could buy one who wanted one from that store front… and we could donate any funds to a nominated charity.
Unfortunately, after a day spent in A&E, I'm not able to come down, dammit. I hope you all have a great, and effective, day - I'll look out for the updates! ❤️❤️❤️
Fabulous, eloquent lecture from an admirable woman, using her personal experience to highlight the realities of foisting this trans agenda on female prisoners and in the process, putting these vulnerable (& trapped) women in danger… Am at once enraged & inspired…
Unfortunately (& shockingly), gender ID slipped in under the radar and is now the law in Ireland…😤 As Graham previously described, we have at least two extremely violent and dangerous men, self identifying as women, currently incarcerated in a women’s prison in Ireland…😱
Agree with the comments that this is a wider societal issue that we cannot fight on our own. We need buy-in & support from our male partners/relatives/friends etc. Thank you Bryan & Jeremy! 🙏😊

I think it's important men join. Thank you

We need men to participate in the movement or we’ll never work this out. You have a mother, that’s enough of a reason imho. See you there!

Ok, thank you. Sold. I'll be there in Saturday.

I wrote demo chants they're listed on another comment if you want them? 7 in all - good luck. Wish I could go

I find this truly shocking! It's self-ID by the back door and with no reference to the protected characteristic of the SEX.

I'll be there - still can't believe this happens.

I can't be there but I wrote lots of demo chants, if they'll be of help?
1.
Protect our women
Protect our girls
In UK jails
And round the world
2.
Can you see the red flag?
Can you see the red flag?
Women don't deserve that
Women don't deserve that
.
We're giving you a red card
We're giving you a red card
Is common sense that hard?
Is common sense that hard?
3.
We're your mothers
We're your wives
We brought you all
Into this life
.
We are women
We are girls
We claim our place
In this world
4.
Women are the female sex
Respect my sex, respect my X
Women are the female sex
Respect my sex, respect my X
5.
Your silence is compliance
With misogynist violence
Your silence is compliance
With misogynist violence
6.
Two hundred years
And we're not equal yet
You're putting us in danger
How selfish can you get?
7.
We exist and we persist
We've sex based rights!
We exist and we persist
We've sex based rights!
Great, well done, have copied x
You're welcome. You could take along red cards to send the males off x
What a great thing to do Penny!
Thank you 😊 I started last week after I realised chants were a poeting thing.
Not sure about no. 4. But see what works in practice. I was going for assertive, indignant, strong feelings with a bit of telling off.
Brilliant! Thanks!
Your welcome :)

Please suggest it to Posie www.adulthumanfemale.com is her merch website.

I'm trying to rejig the weekend's arrangements - this is too important not to be there if I possibly can.
Unfortunately, after a day spent in A&E, I'm not able to come down, dammit. I hope you all have a great, and effective, day - I'll look out for the updates! ❤️❤️❤️

What a fantastic stirring and moving speech. Quite heartbreaking
I'll be there. Thank you for the heads-up.
I wrote demo chants they're listed on another comment if you want them? 7 in all - good luck. Wish I could go x

Great, thanks! Will look through but if I can’t see them can I find them somewhere else? Are you on Twitter?
I'm on Gettr, I don't really want to use Twitter
They've locked me in a prison cell
Will anybody speak?
Now violent males are here as well
Will anybody sleep?
I cry, I hurt, I want my kids
Is anybody there?
You could not face the fear I live
Does anybody care?
Wish I could be there but not really possible from where I live. Definitely there in spirit, for what that's worth.
Bravo !
I can't be there as it is in London. Will be thinking of you all.
What a speech 👏👏. I can’t be there but I’ll be with you in spirit
