The responses to the Stonewall twitter ad asking for London marathon fundraisers tonight is a joy to behold. Practically everyone has replied with #IStandwithAlisonBailey and some choice comments too. Maybe the tide is turning.

I asked before about writing to one of the BBC trustees I know personally through my dh. It’s a very sensitive move for me to make for various reasons. I am also struggling because of a personal tragedy as our son attempted suicide in December and has a serious brain injury. I have to balance what I can spend my energy on, but I would like to do it before they step down. My thoughts on what to write whirl around. I thought to lead with the hideous item on BBC3 affirming a young woman who adopts a furry BDSM persona to deal with her self esteem issues then move on to the trans affirming issue.

I would be very grateful if someone here would help me off list write something concise / coherent etc. My dh also works currently with a senior member of the Scot trust (owners of Guardian) , lovely person, but I think that’s a lost cause ..... I care passionately for the BBC and despair at the damage done to it.

I’d also mention that the majority of people that now come under the transgender umbrella are: 1) adult men who are NOT dysphoric, but rather have various paraphilias, like cross-dressing, as per Stonewall’s own definition, though they obviously don’t use the word “paraphilias”; 2) teenage girls who are victims of social contagion, and who in addition to body dysmorphia are overwhelmingly either lesbians, or have comorbidities, most notably autism, but also mental health problems, suffer from childhood trauma etc etc (this is not an opinion, but rock-solid facts: you can quote David Bell here, from his interviews on Channel4 and Women’s Hour, as well as CQC’s findings, which found Tavistock inadequate)l Mention that there are violent grifters, who heard that if they say they’re trans, they will be put in women’s prisons - mention Karen White (there are plenty of other examples) and mention that crime stats are already becoming pointless and unreliable. The genuinely dysphoric transsexuals of yore have always been and still are a tiny minority. We are changing laws, dismantling single-sex spaces and rights, weakening safeguarding, sterilising autistic girls, torturing women in prisons, jeopardising the future of women’s sports - for what, exactly? Nobody has even stopped and investigated what gender identity is, just accepted as given the American late stage capitalism import that everyone has a gender identity, which is patently false. Why are not journalists doing their jobs investigating the unscientific concept of gender identit, as well as paraphilias, particularly autogynephilia? They should be all over both. Why are not they looking at the influence of pornography in transgenderism and the various male fetishes? There is plenty of evidence to be found, if only they cared to look. Instead, they stick their heads in the sand and produce propaganda.

I’m very sorry to hear about your son. I hope he recovers well.

My advice would be to read Graham’s earlier post that focuses on the BBC. It’s the one that mentions When Mum Becomes Dad, an outrageously biased and manipulative programme, produced by and shown on CBBC. As a mother of a child with learning disabilities, who watches that channel, I was appalled, part.as I’d always defended the BBC and want it to survive. My child doesn’t not the ability to lie: like everyone else, he is able to correctly sex every person, and would find the lies presented in the programme: that humans can change sex and a mother can become a father, utterly confusing. It demonstrates pretty aptly that people promoting this ideology are at war with reality.

To clarify, I’m looking for help to write a few paragraphs.

I don’t want to quote people on ‘our’ side like our Beloved Internet Personality, Transgender Trend, Woman’s Place etc as I want to write something that doesn’t instantly raise a red flag and brings shutters down IYSWIM! I want to write something that gives a personal view (we’ve known each other over 10 years but through them working with my husband). I hope they know me well enough to know that I’m not a crazy older cat lady type TERF 😉), containing enough information without feeling like I am trying to bombard them. The other complication is that my husband is only just starting to get the trans madness and is very fond of this person and I don’t want to upset him (my dh) by effectively exploiting a contact (personal email and home address) which I only have through my husband.

I also eagerly checked Penis News for the latest update. Unbelievably there was tumbleweed?! Perhaps reporting on a TV about drag and glitter converse footwear does come first. I’ll wait...

Re Transgender Trend and Naomi Cunningham:

I have used the TT article to chase my local Boroughs' Education Committees, and the Regional Commissioner (North-West London and South-Central England Regional Schools Commissioner’s office). Thank you for flagging this up!
