I want Laurie Penny to explain under oath why she thinks she has the right to speak to people like this. I’ve blurred the defamatory remarks she chose to repeat and re-emphasise in her ‘apology.’
While I would like to thank Laurie for having the grace to delete the tweet, I await her apology for her defamatory remarks.

I've just broken my Twitter moratorium to reply to LP. Absolutely outrageous. I've subscribed to the New Statesman for years, and I've got pretty wide parameters on what constitutes free speech and fair comment, but this really pushed me to intervene.
