They have just voted down an amendment to the GRA Reform Bill that would have prevented sex offenders from accessing a Gender Recognition Certificate. Not only does that put all women and girls in danger, but it ensures that sex offenders like the one mentioned will be able to change his name and sex and become undetectable, and the obligation to keep the police informed of their whereabouts at all times will be rendered useless. They are determined, the SNP and the Scottish Greens, to push this stuff through Holyrood. All women's groups should be crowd-funding now in anticipation of a challenge in court, no other option. Once this goes through in law, all other prohibitive and protective laws will be attacked. This is Queer Theory in operation, and it is just starting. I fear that there is no hope now of this stuff being derailed even at Stage Two. Women in England, Wales and NI should beware because this will open the gates to a massive push to allow the same in those parts of the UK. The hypocrisy is also beyond belief as they expelled a member of the public, from Holyrood, who was wearing a scarf with the Suffragette colours, while MSPs were sitting in committee wearing rainbow lanyards. Anyone who ever had the slightest doubt that this is wholly a one-sided issue needs to think again.
