On the one hand, I feel sorry for these ‘lesbians’ if they have become so delusional that they believe they are actually lesbians. And a large part of that delusion increasing is because of all the pandering from people it rarely affects. As blunt as you can sometimes be, Graham, I think it has clearly become a necessary evil to be so brutal. Just look at the vindication you are getting right now but people are trying sweep over that and paint you as a villain.

I find it hard to believe he's that obtuse. Lesbians have been talking about the problem of straight men on dating apps for ages - I remember Rebecca Shaw (who a short few years later was on the TWAW train) writing about how entitled and obnoxious it is. Back then, in 2013, the apps could still ban them. Now they can just declare themselves "non binary trans womxn" without even putting a link of make-up on and it's the actual lesbians being banned for rejecting them. The same men who shit on identity politics are now pearl clutching at what I thought was a highly effective way to illustrate the vile treatment of lesbians in what are supposedly their online spaces? SERIOUSLY??? The response to you reminds me of the response to YouTuber friendlyjordies who did a beautifully vitriolic evisceration of one of Australia's youth-oriented sponsored content sites (you know the ones, basically Twitter aggregation posts using other people's words to generate clicks) over a post which celebrated one of Australia's most predatory banks whose conduct directly makes the lives of women worse, and through its support of environmentally destructive or slave labour multinationals, helps ruin the lives of Black, South Asian, Indigenous and Latin American communities, because Westpac was supporting "gender transition". He made a few jokes about the site's "obsession with artificial genitals". Of course, the neoliberal wokerati seized on "ermagherd, trahnz-pherbic!" and totally ignored the central point he was making about fake corporate progressivism.
This is simply self-serving and sad. I am not surprised at Greenwald being dismissive and insulting because I think he lost the plot years ago and, while he's done good work, I've never had much time for him. I expected better of Singal. Sorry about this, Graham; it's really shit.
