Oooh, I *think* I peaked a different friend today! I showed her Mermaid's gender spectrum (Barbie / G.I Joe), sent her a link to a picture book "Jack not Jackie" where a tomboy decides she must be a boy, and then a photo of a van from Lesbians United saying "Tomboys need running shoes, not artificial hormones", AND some of Dr Gallagher's double mastectomies.
I was really nervous to talk to her about it and she had her guard up at first, but she settled into the conversation and listened really carefully to what I was saying. She is a true progressive like us but like so many people, she has got swept into the fake "live and let live" mantra.
At one point, she said that she would be "with LGB people all the way" on their stance! I think I got through! 🤞
