I like my women to look a little less like Rory Kinnear.

Oh that's a bit harsh... to Rory Kinnear. At least he doesn't look like a Siamese cat in a wind tunnel.

Remember this, by the way? India advocating for a Trump-esque 'spiky barbed wire fence' to prevent immigrants from entering the UK. And he has the gall to accuse feminists of being far-right??

How about barbed wire fences around women's single sex spaces.

yes. Who is is the mother of his son?

He would likely say he is.

And to be actual women.

I'd love to explain, Graham, why giving this inch to a man who must at all times demand narcissistic fuel from us to keep his distorted sense of imaginary womanhood. I have a great deal of sympathy with his ex-wife, whom we never hear from. Willoughby is most likely a gay man who could not accept his attraction to men, hence the constant innuendos such as this one about a so-called "date" request. Ute Heggen

Hopefully he is gay and so not harassing lesbians.

Expand full comment

Well, my ex-husband wrote in his diaries that he wanted the attention of straight men. Then he married a woman 8 years later.

Expand full comment

It's also entirely possible that Willoughby wants men to be attracted to him even though HE isn't attracted to THEM. Straight men with AGP see women as sex objects first and foremost, so being a woman means that men must find you hot. If they do, that's proof (at least in your addled mind) of your womanly credentials.

Of course, it's far more likely to be proof that the men in question share your AGP, a phenomenon which "transwomen" regard with outrage (and zero self-awareness), deriding them as "chasers" and creeps. Well, they ARE pretty creepy, all right... but I suppose the real problem is that there's nothing a narcissist likes less than another narcissist.

I found it refreshing to hear Blair White state that his boyfriend could not be straight, because Blaire is male.

I’m trying to study the mindset of trans women so am ‘undercover’ in various trans social media groups just to understand them a bit better

One I found interesting was one TW who was very submissive posts daily of them in raunchy poses-( it wasn’t a good look tbh, men with knobbly knees and legs like pencils do not look as good as they think they do in polka dot bikinis)

Anyhow, she’d complain about how many chasers she’d get in her DM’s, dick shots, the lot. Around a hundred a day. It was all so ‘annoying’ she’d rage.

Then why do you encourage it so much, I once asked her. It’s only cos of your flooding the net with

Flirty nude shots of your arse they think u want it.

‘Oh she said, I don’t like them but I get huge ‘euphoria’ that they find me attractive as a woman’

What I didn’t have the heart to tell her was that these men were fetishes who were only wanting sec with her cos she had a dick. NOT as she thought, bc they saw her as a beautiful’woman’

Incredibly sad. How do they not know this ?

But 'trans women' now includes transvestites, AGPs, transgenders, crossdressers, transsexuals etc.

Expand full comment

Yeah; most of this guy's "admirers" are straight men with AGP, no doubt... but a few may be gay or bi. Because they're the only men who are capable of being GENUINELY attracted to him-- meaning as who he really is. And a man must be male-attracted to do that.

Speaking of sad, how sad is it that "trans" people would reject anyone whose attraction to them was the real deal? And, in fact, be OFFENDED by it? "How dare you want me for who I am!!! Bigot! TRANSPHOBE!!!" The only people they want are the ones who, by definition, couldn't be attracted to them if they tried. Because they're of an incompatible sexual orientation.

So the greatest gift that anyone can give you-- to see you for who you are, and love you for it-- these people will never accept.

But you know what's even worse than the sadness of this? The scariness. Because only wanting those who do not, CANNOT, want you? When their lack of desire is the entire point of the exercise?

That's the mindset of a rapist.

Expand full comment

I wonder if that's why they also redefine sexual orientation to be based on gender identity and not sex.

I read that twice but honestly the machinations of all this are beyond me. I liked boys when I was a girl and I really really fancied my husband. Life was so simple.

Who was Willyby’s wife? Does anyone know?

He has an estranged son, Rhodes. He went to work as "India" and home as "Jonathan" according to media, to "father the teen son." His ex-wife has been scrubbed from all Wikipedia and other sources. Another trans widow erased. Where are you, mother of Rhodes Willoughby?

The thing with Willoughby is that he’s at base, a very conservative (with a small c), middle of the road, natural conformist who wants to fit in to mainstream popular society. But unfortunately he’s a gay man. And I sense he couldn’t tolerate being such a thing. He wanted to be Mr Normal (not my description of homosexuality, but historically it has been). His views are largely Tory-lite, right down to expressing his wish that immigrant boats might sink crossing the Channel.

So he tried getting married and having. 2.4 children but was desperately unhappy. Then, as he likes to ‘fit in’, transgenderism came into view and offered a solution. He went with it, I think, expecting it to completely resolve his problems. He declared himself suddenly ‘straight’…how did that happen?!!

But since then he’s miserably (and sincerely, it must be miserable) had to confront the fact that large parts of the population won’t ever recognise him as a woman. He’s furious.

I’ve watched him for a while becoming more and more radicalised. Every time he expresses moderate views about say transwomen in sports, 3 or 4 weeks later he’s proclaiming he’s newly enlightened and he’s now seen the light! Views changed quickly to hardcore hardline transgenderism.

I think this must be causing him painful cognitive dissonance. He’s now openly supporting Labour because of their trans stance. This was never his natural milieu. Every opinion has now sprung from trans stuff and as he says, he’s not an activist. He’s right, he’s a follower, not a leader. And he sounds more and more furious. I saw someone recently say they were very much in agreement with him but perhaps the other side should be listened to sometimes. “Piss off!” says India.

And through it all I do feel sorry for him, as I do for many of these people, it’s not a comfortable place and I can’t imagine how painful it must be. But I really think being as true to yourself as possible, listening to the other side and being courageous in not always agreeing with your own tribe about everything, would be a calmer, more noble way forward and lead to greater self respect. And perhaps we could eventually find solutions that could work for everyone.

Expand full comment

I used to feel sorry for people like him but the activists have shown they are not worthy of my sympathy. Pity is about all I can muster considering the harm they are spreading.

Expand full comment

Believe me, my sympathy frequently fails me. They fight dirty but most of all they fight selfishly and it will be very hard to forgive many of them for the harms they’re causing. India is particularly hard to like, he’s just a nasty bit of work nowadays. Sour, petulant.

But I think at some point we have to work something out. I can offer my sympathy for the emotional distress they must suffer if they could at least acknowledge the suffering and anxiety they are supporting. It might be a long wait.

Expand full comment

You're a better person than me then Cheryl. They willingly drank the kool aid and kept on chugging. I get the dissonance and why they turn their hate outwards but as adults they are responsible for the harm they cause, especially to children. Everything they do is a choice, so pity is the best I will ever be able to muster.

Expand full comment

I do have a hidden agenda - that we need to come across as the good guys, because we are! Unimpeachable!

But we’ll see…..

Expand full comment

I understand but the activists types (as distinct from the children, detransitioners, transexuals and other more moderate people under the trans umbrella), which include people like Billy Bragg and India and many, many others do not require my sympathy for us to be seen as being on the right side of history. It just requires us to reiterate facts (biology), to debate with those that are willing, keep making sure that others are peaked and to use our votes and our consitutional powers to ensure reality remains the basis for law. I can feel contempt for their choices in how they behave and behave better myself.

Expand full comment

This crap about forgiveness is exactly that, crap. Women have been asked for millennia to forgive male criminality / gaslighting / abuse, and one can easily see where that has gotten us. And I am sick of the mental health excuse; if you are a person with opportunity and resources, get yourself some help. Otherwise, STFU.

Expand full comment

Your compassion is admirable, Cheryl, and I can understand where you're coming from. I can hardly imagine what it must be like for someone who has subjected themselves to horrendous, life-altering surgery, only to realise a couple of years down the line that they have made the biggest mistake of their lives. Not only don't they pass, they are constantly reminded by the lacks and deficits of their butchered bodies that they are 'inbetween' people: still a man for all intents and purposes, but halfway across the imaginary bridge to a perceived womanhood that was never going to be the actual thing. And so they contemplate the long years ahead, destined to live out their lives as little more than an end-of-the-pier freakshow - a man by DNA, a faux-woman by GRC. What an absolute shitshow on steroids. Of course, India W does himself no favours. At least when one is desperate, a kind word to others can draw down sympathy from a thousand quarters. But there are no kind words left in India's mouth. If there were, and he wasn't so damn hubristic, he'd have compassionate allies aplenty, as do all of the sincere detransitioners. Unfortunately, he's too sick on his own bile to realise the truth of the matter. One can only hope he'll learn his lesson one day.

Expand full comment

He really is. The route to happiness for people like him is to simply embrace how you want to be, dress how you want etc etc but don’t make the mistake of believing you really can be a woman through and through. Reality will keep punching you back. Blaming other people for thinking things you don’t want them to think is a hopeless struggle. India has long been insisting he is a REAL WOMAAAAN! We are not only watching all these very young people going through puberty blockers, but also grown adults, seduced by the idea you can really become a different person entirely and have your story turn out like a fairy tale, and only a small number of which will be completely happy for the long haul.
