Same thing happened to my comments on a Times article celebrating gay men having a child via a surrogate mother. I provided factual information correcting errors in the piece, & also pointed out the arrogance, entitlement & misogyny of the bio dad who wrote the piece, who just happened to be a Times writer.

He'd said in the piece that he'd make sure to tell the child, a boy, to be grateful to the woman who "helped to bring him into the world" or some such lingo. I pointed out how insulting it was to say the woman who risked her own health & life to carry, grow & give birth to the child merely "helped" when she actually did pretty much everything - all the bio dad did was ejaculate into a specimen cup. I added that a boy taught to regard the woman who gave birth to him as a bit player & servant womb for hire would likely grow up with worrying attitudes towards women.

All my comments were removed. Since then, any time I try to comment on any other story, my post gets flagged as "pending approval" & disappears into the ether.

Interesting how gay men like Ben Cohen and Owen Jones who are fully TWAW/TMAM don't seek out a relationship with a transman if they want a baby. I mean if they're gay, they should at least consider it, cuz TM are men, and well same-gender attraction and all that the T lobby espouses, eh? I know Owen Jones has been asked this question and he won't answer it. Because he can't without scoring a massive own-goal or looking like a hypocrite/terf.

Just had a look at the "Community Guidelines" -

"12. be likely to upset, embarrass and alarm any other person;"

Loos enough to cover pretty much anything anyone is ever likely to write.

I'm upset and alarmed by the promotion of transgenderism, but I'm a nobody not even any other person.

Rich that an effing newspaper would say it's verboten to post content likely to upset, embarrass & alarm any other person. The news has always been full of stuff that is upsetting & alarming to huge swathes of people. And one of the functions of the press is to reports stories that embarrass politicians, public officials, celebs, cheats & criminals. Bet Matt Hancock has been upset & embarrassed by the stories about him of late.

And none of these is forbidden by law. As the judge said, no one has the right not to be offended.

The Times comments moderation is becoming an issue with many readers. I hope you share this post with the editors. The comments were a joy to read. Not anti trans but so many people see the misogyny of trans activism.

It's a new thing. I'm on there (different name) and I'd say since the new mods took over they just automatically delete when posts are reported. And since transactivists are so sensitive, they are normally the ones doing the reporting. What I sometimes do is repost my deleted post a day or so later once their attention has wandered. I think that is worth doing, because the Times always links their previous articles on the same topic. Another Top Tip: they tend to report posts with the most likes (which tend to be at the beginning of a thread), and not posts that are in reply to someone else. So save your best work for later, and in reply to someone else.

Dear Graham,

The words ‘Graham Linehan’ are tripping the computer censor, so they’ve clearly been programmed in to the algorithm. Screenshot taken. What a joke their moderators are.

The placement student/intern is 'covering' the comments section this evening, I suppose.

Good work, nonetheless, GL.

Some of the Times comments say its a smart move to show the trans activists up more. And also show that the Times does publish a wide range of views

I just wrote ‘Graham Linehan’ in one times BTL post to try it. Still pending 4 hours later… but I think the comments show that the general public is catching on.

Furthermore, adding to the rank misogyny sweeping around . Channel 4's item this evening, regarding Cressida Dicks public statement on the matter of male misogyny within the ranks.

Such drivel about the nasty few, rotten eggs, no mention or reference to the overall prejudicial machine the Met is.

It took Anna Birley from 'Reclaim the Streets' to challenge the deeply entrenched misogyny within the force, interviewed by Krishnan this evening.

Never a whisper of course about the violence of the trans bunch on the remembrance gathering , this, plus the aggression from the police.

I am so heartily sick to my heart of this rampant self evident violence from these women hating males----- which s Cressida D continues to deny ---is she been silenced too?

Cressida Dick is just that, a dick. She denies that the met has a systemic problem with misogyny, because she is a misogynist herself. Police need a screening method to keep dicks out of the force.

You can get one or two articles a week (can't remember which) on a free subscription. Just have to give an email address. There are some fabulous comments.

My favourite so far is from Paul Barnes...

"Benjamin Cohen is being disingenuous. He only has to read the comments on trans articles in Pink News to see that many gay people do not support the aggressive, bullying, no compromise, no platforming, no respect for the rights of others approach that that he and Stonewall take on trans rights.

Those of us who were there from the start of Stonewall knew that any minority group campaigning to make their lives better has to win the genuine support of both legislators and wider society. To do this you have to patiently, politely, rationally but robustly argue your case against those who oppose you.

Many gay people are happy to support trans rights. What we object to is that organisations that have positioned themselves as the voice of all LGBT people have adopted an approach that forces people to accept that, in areas of genuine concern about the impact on others in society, trans rights must automatically and unquestionably take priority.

They wrongly portray all LGBT people as supporting this and so position us in conflict with wider society.

We see decades of hard work to establish gay people as valued and respected members of society being undermined by the activities of Pink News, Stonewall and others .

If your trans activism does not respect women’s boundaries, fails to understand child safeguarding, belittles homosexuality and regards differences of opinion as bigotry, then you are harming, not helping the daily lives of trans people.

That’s what happened Mr Cohen."

Just goes to show ya’. There are a number of wicked socially engineered constructs enforced and imposed upon us no one can speak about or object too...there’s a name for that. The silencing seems an easy option but it makes individuals in institutions complicit. We’ve seen that in history before as well. I’m disappointed they’ve chosen once again to attack and suppress women and women’s rights again. It’s very backward thinking again, like so many other things based on wickedness and untruth for ....men ....already a privileged class.
