Dear Banksy, please paint "Trans Women are Men" on the side of Newport police station. Just so we can watch them twist their misogynistic guts in knots trying to justify keeping it.
Yes! I see Banksy as a political cartoonist who likes the outdoors and he can't be unaware of all this guff. It would be wonderful if he (or she, I don't know) took this opportunity to make a statement that would become visible around the world. It might make some people think a bit harder.
As I get older and older, I've gotten angry for so many years at the mess the world is in that I can stop and appreciate Moley's wonderful work or anything else that makes me laugh. This is why I've followed the best of Zen for many years: the misogyny is the garbage and Mole's visual jokes are the rose growing out of the garbage.
I envy you, Susan. I thought I'd attained a similar state of equilibrium some years ago, before I a) realised how bad it really is out there, and b) had children. Now I feel as though I was living in a false world, blind to so much. I love Moley's work, but sometimes it hits a raw spot - this is one of them.
And this is why I am endlessly thankful I did not have children. I can't imagine how difficult it must be looking at the world that is being forced upon them.
The only encouraging words I can say are that I am 68 years old, been aware of the horrors of the world since I was a child, my parents telling me things that were age-appropriate for a very bright and curious little girl. You cannot begin to imagine how influential Life magazine was, I still remember so many photographs: the mercury-disabled child in her Japanese mother's arms, the screaming white people spewing their filth at little black children in Arkansas, the photos from Vietnam. I do believe the world as we know it is disintegrating into worse chaos and violence, but the underpinnings and history have been there for a very long time (thousands of years).
And none of this means we cannot appreciate what is good about life, especially the natural world which gives me endless solace.
Susan, Jeremy - Thank so much for evincing your impassioned thoughts so well and reasonably. I do understand both perspectives to varying degrees. And it is so refreshing to hear you both speak openly and without any tension or rancour - unlike other platforms I could mention!
Jeremy - I am sorry my 'stuff' sometimes hits a raw spot - I suppose that is a sort of 'collateral damage' (With the greatest respect to you) in this - I can only call it as I see it and in my own absurdist way. I am told by many that it 'hits the spot', so all I can do is do what I think works.
It is always a case of 'hit and miss' with humour and satire I know that. And please bear in mind that it is not 'my job'! My aim is always to amuse, never to fool or to annoy.
Susan - I am in the same boat! I never procreated - my choice - so I have no real idea how people - parents - cope with this nonsense... But I do have a strong sense from listening to many people.
Clearly many do not and many are in the thrall of the shiny ideology.
And THAT saddens and angers me, as I am sure it does you.
They certainly should Mole!! The best artistic creations are made by a quick, angry thing!! Excellent..love it! The Scold's Bridle idea is perfect.. such a visual observation for those who aren't peaked yet!!👍🏻🥰
Oh I was wishing especiallywecially hard and look what you've gone and done! Thank you.
And am I reading far too much into this, is that a nod to Welsh translations being sent for translation but getting duff or out of office replies that are faithfully printed, so the sign Heddlu becomes 'Police in Welsh'?

Or, "Trans women are transwomen" - i.e. TWAT.
Yes! That's better than my TWAM, which just sounds like a 3-year old misidentifying a bus.
Hahaha - good one :-)
Yes please. . . my stickers are removed faster than I can stick them up. I'd like to see them remove a Banksy. . .
Wouldn't that be fabulous?

Fabulous Moley! :D
Thanks!
"POLICE IN WELSH" 😂😂😂
😁
Excellent! And a new role for the truly inspired Billy Bragg - Gender Doctrine Enforcement Officer. Non men! Make yourselves invisible and inaudible.
Yes, he has settled into his new role... RATHER EASILY! 😁
No one can hold this heroic MRA back!
Oh please 🙏
🤣🤣🤣
I love you Moley! :)
*gulp*
😁
Outstanding.
Cheers. It was just a quick, angry thing really... They must be held to account for this.
I appreciate the work, but can't enjoy it because it makes me very angry, too. Maybe tomorrow, or next week.
I hear you. I really do.

Thanks both, for different reasons...
M
Heck, yes. I have daughters but am very clear I do not think they should have children for those reasons. The world is fucked.
They certainly should Mole!! The best artistic creations are made by a quick, angry thing!! Excellent..love it! The Scold's Bridle idea is perfect.. such a visual observation for those who aren't peaked yet!!👍🏻🥰
They absolutely must. They must be repeatedly reminded of their actions and for what they stand, and on whom they stand, heavily.
Another winner Moley!
😁

No, not really. It just amused me to be honest!
Heddlu is the word police in Welsh. And the Welsh police responsible for this abuse are misogynistic jerks.
I know. And.. I know!
You always get me at first because I think it’s real. 😂 At least my radars up for the crazy real life stuff to come.
😁
Nice work Moley!
Thanks! Sad that it needs doing though!
😁
Love you Mole!
*blushes*
😁
Genius

😁
Moley, you hit the nail on the head every time!
Well, thanks but it's the material! It almost parodies itself lately!
Cheers!
oh Billy...
