It's actually insane that we are reading on a substack what should be headline news on every TV channel.

Susie Green's tweet about other "cisgender" surgeries not needing a psychological assessment... I mean just wtf?! Does she think children should be allowed to have double mastectomies and castration on a whim, at their say-so? And what are these other surgeries? Appendectomies? Tonsillectomies? That women is ridiculous.

In my experience NHS psychiatrists interview candidates for plastic surgery on the NHS. Presumably this is to weed out those whose true needs are not the scalpel but appropriate talking therapy or similar

Sharing this post with Vermont readers so they can get a sense of how pernicious Mermaid's American cousins like Outright Vermont are and the risk to their family's wellbeing these organizations pose.

The main point is how did this ever happen? No sentient sincere human being can in my opinion agree with gender identity ideology. Those that do be dammed. But to install that into children is wicked. The fact that a children’s charity that espouses such wicked, ghoulish and evil intentions has been allowed to propagate such wickedness is bewildering. It’s worrying that mermaids is going to be brought down on the breast binding, the links to pedo gender bollox or it’s comms guy wanking off in a skirt. But the fact that all the people in positions of power and influence allowed a charity to promote this evil bollocks. In plain sight. That’s the worrying thing. How did anyone fall for this shit? I have just seen a take down of that John Oliver show by gendermapper. How can anyone (John Oliver) be so glib and disdainful to the obvious pain this is causing children and parents? And does anyone actually think he believes it? As his audience applauded. Unbelievable. There are some truly evil people out there. And then there are the enablers and at the moment it’s hard to differentiate between the two. Because he represents all the reasons why children are being lied to, damaged by drugs and mutilated by surgery. He is another nasty insincere wanker willing to sacrifice children to remain his standing with people who care about nothing.

At this point, it would much more efficient to list those who haven't supported Mermaids. Well done ripx4nutmeg -- a thorough and necessary summary of the Rise and Fall of the House of Mermaids.

The harm they have done needs an independent investigation done by maybe Dr hilary Cass or someone qualified that has absolutely no allegiance to trans which let's out the police then

That is a very well composed piece. The biggest scandal is: why is this not headline news?

Thanks for that - an excellent overview. It really is astonishing when you see it all laid out like that; how a totally unscientific (and incredibly stupid & dangerous) idea got a grip across all these institutions, including journalism, policing, politics, healthcare etc. It's no wonder paedophiles see it as a huge opportunity.

I should just like to understand what’s is in it for Susie Green. I understand that now she has a position of influence, fame ( infamy?) and probably wealth which she would not hope to achieve in her previous life two decades ago. Of course, she doesn’t want to sacrifice that for any other child’s well-being.

But , how did it start? Is it just a snowball, where she put her child in a dress to escape his father’s wrath? Did the child go along with it because the atmosphere at home was so much nicer when his father didn’t despise him, and his mother was concentrating her attention and approbation on the behaviour which was in turn winning her a much more interesting and glamorous life? That’s all straightforward. But when it comes to taking your child abroad to achieve medical harm, irreversible medical harm, doesn’t any instinct of care or compassion kick in?

And I suppose once you have done that, and you see that poor gangly man child , there’s nothing left to lose, so you are just in a spiral of profitable self deception.

Or is it just the misery loves company?

"At eight years old, unfortunately her dad and I separated, but what this did for me was gave me much more freedom to be able to give Jackie expression. The Tavistock said that allowing her girl clothes in the house was helpful and said that she needed to remain in male persona outside of the home - and that was fine - and I remember our first shopping trip for girl clothes..."
