Yes to these questions - I argued with a friend over this. She said it can't possibly be brainwashing and social contagion that is causing swathes of her 14 year old daughter's peers to be 'struggling with a closeted trans identity'.
I asked why her generation (she's mid 40s) didn't have hundreds of trans kids in school. I asked her why my generation (mid 30s) didn't either (though some transitioned later after exposure to Tumblr) if it's a genuine thing. She said it's because kids are more comfortable being trans than ever before. If this is the case, then why are they closeted? Why are they homosexual kids? Why are they autistic? Something is going on, I told her to open her eyes.
I've asked this many times on social media and get the 'oh yes it did happen and you just didn't notice' statement. I'm 66 years old, older than the people who repeat this nonsense and yet they still don't listen. I was in academia for over 10 years in the 1980s and 1990s and never came across it. Short of hitting these people around the head with a wet fish to knock some sense into them (which I would be perfectly happy to do!), they just don't listen. My own daughters are blind to what's going on and won't be told. I'm furious but I must admit I'm rather proud that they think I'm a TERF. 😂
Graham I just watched an episode of the IT crowd and it’s still hilarious. You’re so talented. You should write something new, and weave this stuff into it. I’m sure you’ll get funding to make it and it could go on bitchute or rumble, or make it pay-per-view. It will really help spread your message.
You might not know that mothers are often the ones who are being told that they are preventing their child from realising its desire, its real sexual identity, and that her opposition against the phantasy of 'being in the wrong body' also adds to the child's suicidal tendenties........which is why it often are mothers to support the medical intervention! It is a disgusting use of maternal feelings of guilt and being a bad mother!
It is astonishing how bad mothers and older women are the monsters who apparently undermine their children's gay or lesbian tendencies (I keep thinking about the so globally popular series of the Handmaid's Tale)...........no mention about the males, who for centuries made sure that female (and male) children learn that older women are not to be trusted
It is disgusting. Agreed. Sadly I do know, very, very well having worked indepth with children in therapeutic and educational settings. And seeing colleagues, myself included, leaving those environments because of the massive concerns around the lack of necessary questioning and safeguarding. It's a parents duty to open their ears and make informed choices with the child in mind, whichever way they see fit. But it's never ok to interrupt or interfere with biological development because you need to be compliant to a trending ideology. I'm specifically making reference to Susie Green as I wholeheartedly find her a disgrace in the face of safeguarding children and young people from mutilation. Dangerous.
Perhaps we shouldn't make assumptions about the sexual orientation of the child concerned (who was a very young child at the beginning of the account) but the father, with his intolerance of the non-gender conforming behaviour of his son has a lot to answer for.

Where are all the female adults saying that this practice would have helped them in their youth?
Where are all the 40-something women suddenly realising they are men?
Where are all the child suicides from 10 or 15 years ago?
Why are Non-binary kids getting surgeries now?
