I am now delighted that Mermaids & Co. decided to challenge the charitable status of LGB Alliance. Not only do I think it has played a huge part in this downfall, but it's helping to emphasise to the general public that not all of the LGB are on board with this ideology. Furthermore, all of these scandals, make LGB Alliance look as wonderful as we know them to actually be.
All those stupid, selfish, and sanctimonious people who have supported this while attempting to destroy Glinner, who actually cared and has played a central role in exposing this evil organisation - more vindication.
This is so important. CHILDREN ARE NOT SEXUAL BEINGS. Children are sensual yes -- they enjoy taste, touch, beauty, but they are not sexual. This is ENTIRELY a projection by adults onto children, and may I add, by adults who usually have been interfered with as children themselves, whether or not they're able to acknowledge it. (This, of course, is no excuse for them to perpetrate a similar crime -- the commission of that crime still remains a choice.) It's a vicious circle that needs to be broken. Interference is a good word in this context. The sexual violation of children is a huge interference in their ability to grow into psychologically and sexually healthy human beings. Pedophilia is one of the great sins against life, and should be treated as such.
Whether or not Mermaids is shut down (which is the bare minimum required), opportunistic celebrities and businesses will surely not go anywhere near them.
I can't think of any other movement that would get away with this. If this was a religious group, a sports body, an educational organisation - anyone else - red flags would be flying and alarms going off long before now, but because it's the Church Of Tolerance & Inclusivity, practically the whole of the media and political class suddenly pretend they can't see what's right there in front of them.
