She is completely fab! How very interesting to hear the bit about those with dementia who have transitioned not remembering that they have done so, whereas those who are gay or lesbian never forget this innate fact about themselves.

Yes, the Alzheimer's memory loss is particularly revealing that T is in a different league from LGB, which T has simply exploited by piggybacking on LGB civil rights movement. And is now busy erasing LGB people by transing the kids who would otherwise grow up to be LGB.

A parasitic and abusive movement.

What an amazing woman , hilarious and heartbreaking

at same time .

What sparked me was the bit about the average age of suicide for women is 51 , I tried 5 years ago ( I’m 56 now ) I blamed it on my arsewipe of an ex, he was and still is an arsewipe , but it made me think . I thought I sailed through the menopause but maybe I didn’t after all !

Munter , fabulous Scottish word and I shall use it more

Tears of rage also sounded with me

Same. Menopause is STILL ignored by the general public, even though EVERY woman experiences it! Insane. Love Elaine's voice. She was spot on.

That stat loomed out for me too Petal. It's funny/galling/infuriating just how much women's healthcare, and throughout our life courses is still an unknown and under studied area. I look for your comments here Petal, so am very glad you're here. Sending you best wishes x

I'm glad that you're here, Petal. In both senses of the word. 🫂

You bring to mind something I've so often thought: that the people who attempt or commit suicide never seem to be the ones who SHOULD! And indeed, it's the people who should-- the cruel, abusive, predatory rabies-in-human-form blights upon humanity-- who are frequently the reason that people such as yourself are suicidal in the first place.

I guess I should realize incontinence is a problem; in the U.S. they're advertising what are essentially adult diapers to young women. Pelvic floor exercises are great, but you can also strengthen your urinary system by starting and stopping, starting and stopping, while you're having a pee. And it pays to eat a well-balanced diet. Carbs will make you pee more, especially sugar, if you are unbalanced, and it is my experience that many women do not eat enough protein. Your sphincter muscles depend upon this delicate balance; without it, you will pee yourself.

And it's not just exercise your heart needs, it needs a healthy gut. Your heart is run by your enteric nervous system, much larger than the central nervous system, and your enteric nervous system is in your GUT. If you do not have healthy bacteria in your gut, if you have an overgrowth of bad bacteria, this is not good for all the things the ENS runs in your body.

Yep, Tim Spector (who has been managing the Covid Zoe App in the UK) talks of The Microbiome as an actual body organ. His research on the Microbiome is pretty fascinating. Apparently even identical twins can have extremely differing Microbiome content.

So right. The importance of the gut is only just being realised. Google "brain-gut connection" for some really interesting articles.

I think many health traditions did realize its importance, but it makes a lot of money for the U.S. medical-industrial complex to pay no attention to it. In this country, one is viewed as a collection of idiosyncratic parts that have nothing to do with each other, I kid you not. Think of all the emphasis on eating live and fermented foods all over the world; those traditions definitely knew the gut was important.

What a great woman. I love the no-nonsense approach northerners, particularly the Scots, have. And their ability to highlight dark subjects with humour. It makes the message much easier to digest and learn from. Thanks for the link, Graham. And thanks to Elaine for the wonderful speech.

It's what makes the situation in Scotland so baffling - the last place I would have imagined this madness to take hold, yet it's racing through the Scottish structures like wildfire.

It's because Nicola Sturgeon herself is so utterly captured and placed her pal's in key roles in various organisations such as Rape Crisis Scotland. Scottish Women's Aid etc. We also have possibly the 'gayest' parliament in the world and so many MSP's are captured by Stonewall.

We critics have renamed the SNP as the Scottish Nonce Party. Here attached is a typical example of 'advisor' to senior politian Angus Robertson.

Horrible guy. Only became '' 'former' advisor once charged.
