I like sunlight. We all do. Sunlight is good for you. It is good for us all. And there seems to be more sunlight around at the moment than in recent times. It's good. It's healthy. I love it. The more sunlight, the better I say.

And It is lovely and bright and it seems to be getting brighter almost daily.

My friend claims he is a vampire.

No reflection on him, obviously...

Openness all the way! The days when Stonewall policies have been implemented by stealth should be gone forever. If it can't stand up to scrutiny, it has no place influencing decision-making or safeguarding.

Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard to achieve this. It's been a long time coming.

Yes. Hats off to the EHRC for being one of (if not THE) biggest organisations to drop them. It really got the ball rolling and encouraged others to rethink their reliance on such bad legal guidance. It may have been dressed up as for financial reasons but in a way it a #metoo for Stonewall capture.

What a brilliant proposal. It's unbelievable that something that was so detrimental to the people it said to stand for, whilst denying the material existence of half the planet - and the long term physical and mental .... well, you all know the rest. Perhaps now we can all make some real progress. Thank you so much to all of those on the Front Line. I'm actually crying. xx

We’ve reached the tipping point now. Stonewall’s antics including NK’s anti semitism comment and the attempt to erase the word “mother” peak transed many. The FOIs have exposed their sinister intentions very effectively.

Stonewall and TRAs might want to think about campaigning for inclusion into real life. None of them seem to have an iota of what Joe public knows is real. So much time and money spent on what they think "should be" the law that they've lost sight of what IS.

"Ultimately, the government should establish a wide-ranging independent inquiry into government bodies’ use of the Stonewall scheme, and their reliance on external lobby groups for training and accreditation around diversity and inclusion in general. "

You just said "government bodies" which is directly tied to "the government" - which isn't too keen on having their complicity exposed.

It’s so great that Stonewall’s course correction or possible actual destruction is underway. LGB Alliance can pick up the good pieces and run with them.

But what are we to do in the USA? It’s like we have de facto self-ID and no oversight.

A lot of unfortunate things are going to have to happen first.

I’m afraid you’re right. Collateral damage because reality is the enemy.

Fantastic if it actually happens - Im sure Liz Truss and the Peers are gonna be pushing this BUT like the scandal of the Post Office where was the major shareholder (Govt) and where are they now..

Expand full comment

Yes, we may see parallels in future with the PO scandal that those responsible don’t suffer the repercussions for their failures, but the most important is that the truth comes out and that those persecuted for stating the truth are vindicated.

couldnt agree more but i have less faith in the system to hold those responsible to account - I think Johnson or whoever is in charge of the Govt holding in Post Office should have taken back her pension and given it to the employees that she robbed

Blimey Graham. That’s half an hour I’ll never get back, looking up Cthulloid. Not sure I’m any the wiser, but I wish I could never again see bloody anime 😂

“Queer Theory came from academia like some dreadful Cthulloid experiment.”

I always knew they would overplay their hand. And here we are! Good enough for them. My sympathies lie with those who suffered because of their peculiar brand of science denying misogynistic homophobia. And with those who worked so hard to build it only to see the organisation they created become unrecognisable.
