Following this has been truly shocking and sickening in equal measure, last week the the usual suspects were crowing about how weak the GMC’s case was and how she’s going to be exonerated but following her testimony I can’t see how that can be case.

If the The fact that she doesn’t keep records isn’t a red flag in itself the fact that she’s seeking advice from Suzie Green must ring alarm bells.

We should be seeing both of those women answering questions in a higher court in my view.

agreed. Green should have been arrested as soon as she got back from Thailand.

Absolutely, but for some reason she got away with what she did to her son. And these people have the barefaced cheek to argue that they’re unfairly discriminated against?

I commented about the utter inanity of the term "independent self-appraisal" on Twitter last night, but missed the bit about her "... own model of care". Together, these two terms tell me all I need to know about her - she is an arrogant, self-serving woman who has no business being near anyone needing care. Regardless of whether she thinks she is doing her best for her patients, she is unable to reflect on her practise, which makes her a danger to all her patients. I hope the GMC manage to come up with the right decision for a change, and remove her from the register permanently (though my previous knowledge of GMC disciplinary proceedings means I'm less than confident that they will).

Its a contradiction in terms. A Self Appraisal cannot ever be Independent.

Exactly. Self-appraisal is part of a process which includes others. It cannot be "independent" by definition.

Webberley and Green have been caught running 'services' akin to a 19th century backroom abortion clinic...and their toolbag of dirty, rusted broken utensils have spilled out onto the floor in a very public manner.

They should be doing some serious time for their crimes.

Green and Webberley seem to be two peas in a pod. "I've no qualifications I just did a bit of Googling and appointed myself as an expert... " What a disaster for children when these two found each other.

It's an understatement to say that Helen Webberley is a quack. Add to her testimony the fact that she relies on the insights of Munchausen Mum, Sally Green, who took her 16 year old son to southeast Asian to chop his cock off and you get a sense of utterly crazy the "transgender affirming" slice of society is.

Susie Green! And yes: agree

She keeps quoting Green as some kind of medical expert when she is just a munchausen mother who has damaged her son irreversibly and is now seeking through a charity which should be disbanded, to do further damage to many other children.

Why do women do this? Its bad enough the males in this absurd ideology...but the women who are actively seeking to convert their children through irreversible medical treatment which is totally unnecessary and does active harm?

So next question: Why do Medical Professionals do this? I can understand to an extent in America as they are seeing the moneybags. Why is it happening in the UK where the doctors in the NHS are NOT being paid privately? Webber is so its the same as in the USA.

Why aren't people not seeing how dangerous this is?

But she just keeps rolling along.

Suspended GP vows to keep prescribing 'puberty blockers' to children despite High Court ruling

Helen Webberley, of Abergavenny, said she will go against the ruling to offer children the 'experimental' treatment

"Webberley was barred from practising in the UK after she was convicted of running an unlicensed practice treating 1,600 transgender patients and gender dysphoric children from her home. She was fined £12,000 in December 2018 after a judge said there was a “clear refusal to follow the law” while the regulator said she posed a risk to patient safety."

My psychoanalysis of her is she is not living in reality. Some sort of mad professor.... who wants merit for their "unconventional" work. Drop it love.

Incredibly bad doctor. She should be struck off and never permitted to practice again under any circumstances. I think they should have left all charges. I am disappointed that they can't get her for lying, for example, as lying is such a huge component of the modus operandi of these fanatics. Question; Aren't there a great many more doctors of this type, males and perhaps females, who are engaging in the same practices? Can anyone comment?

There are too many unknowns here; how would we know? It seems likely there are others. GMC seem caught relatively unawares. It takes quite a lot to get to this point and to pursue this and the commentary is a valuable insight. It's generally quite hard to find out why people are stopped from practice as it tends to be buried in possibly years of events and then the balance of probabilities that something so egregious is done that it comes to light and the evidence is there to show it. There's sometimes years of wrestling as to who has liability. Individuals sometimes try to flip blame to their wider organisations, or lack of training, or standards and introduce doubt that way.

MDT is a term often used and poorly understood. They are supposed to be used but often people dislike working co-operatively or ceding control to others. This case might be throwing up other major flaws in how the NHS and particularly mental health services operate and are regulated.

'DRW: We involve the people that are most important in that person's immediate circle. It might be mum or dad, an aunt, it could be a friend or a teacher.'

This rings alarms. Casually elevating a friend or teacher above parents as 'most important' in an under-18-yr-old's 'circle' smacks of subverting parents who question the 'gender treatment' experiment on their children. It couldn't be that she and her patients regard cautious parents as 'transphobic' and deem themselves entitled to shut them out, welcoming any old enabler (aka 'supportive ally') instead, could it? /s

Utterly depressing. These are children being medically experimented on. For something they can never obtain. How is this being allowed? An adult if they undergo SRS understands that it is a lie. A child cannot. My god. Jesus. As a gay man I’m furious that the organisations that purport to represent me go along with this bullshit. But where are the politicians? The ones that can stop this? It’s abhorrent. How can anyone see this as ‘medical care’? These are dark days. I would say that all SRS treatments should be stopped. For adult or child. One begets the other. Being trans is a adult pathology that shouldn’t be projected on kids for adult affirmation. The whole thing is built on lies and deception. Which an adult may indulge in. But as kids are dragged into this as an affirmation tool we need to haul on the brakes. Call it for what it is. A lie. And an evil if you demand others bear false witness to reality.

She is a danger to anyone she 'treats'. A malignant NPD. Zero reflection. And horrifically homophobic which the QC is not addressing. Even if the GMC do strike her off she will not stop. She has a mission to stop children being most likely lesbians or gays.

Utter lunacy.

Not very arrogant, is she?!? This must be the only branch of medicine where the patient decides best practice and the necessary treatment...How is that even possible? Children deciding their own treatment? Where is the clinical responsibility? Criminal charges should be laid against her

I totally agree that children should not be running their own treatment. But after my hypothyroidism nearly killed me -- utterly ignored by medical "professionals" -- I appreciate help such as my current doc making sure my Vitamin D and hemoglobin levels are what they should be, but I have to control my desiccated thyroid medication. I know far more than most doctors and other practitioners do about hypothyroidism after years of reading, and I did not appreciate some doctor I had never met/seen calling me up to shriek at me that I was going to have a heart attack (virtually nonexistent TSH). That was many years ago and I'm still here! in spite of the medicos. They've done their best to kill and/or cripple me.
