I'm so sorry to hear of your loss William, and your analogy is a good one about demanding access to finite resources that they could avoid needing whilst women can't.Thanks for speaking up, take care.x

All the Young Dudes was a fine song by Mott the Hoople. I've no idea why I think about that classic 1970s track when I hear Katy and her friends referenced. Do you? 😏

Completely agree with you, William. Thank you for saying the unsayable. In addition, there is the tragic fact that all these quasi medical procedures are based on experiments on living animals - vivisection. Given the right-on wokeness of many trans supporters, you'd think that might give a bit of pause - but apparently not.

Significant taxes are put upon smokers to cover costs and women do not get good services from the health service so I to do wonder how they justify using resources when women’s needs are not yet met for what are cosmetic procedures for a mental health condition. I’m not sure how to comment on losing two wives/partners in a row or such short order to Breast Cancer and it would certainly be an evil and traceable thing to claim. But averages don’t work in real life and some people do get hit hard and repeatedly as individuals. I hope William gets the support he will need with a load of children and the loss of two partners. It’s like a war isn’t it? I also couldn’t help but wonder if his wives got diagnosed and treated soon enough or adequately as early detection makes it entirely survivable often but many women are so overwhelmed serving family needs they don’t get support, time or resources to get to it in time sadly.

My sympathies with you for your losses, William. Far too much for you and the children to go through in one lifetime.

I had first thought that you were claiming that TW didn't have an increased risk of breast cancer over men so it led me to some interesting reading. Of course, they do dramatically increase their lifetime-risk if they take oestrogen - how could it logically be otherwise? But, as you say, self-inflicted. My sympathy for them is severely limited.

Whilst I absolutely take William's point about resources being stretched by a conscious decision to increase one's risk through taking opposite sex hormones, it should be noted that males can get breast cancer too. It is important that men check themselves as women do and sometimes mammograms are necessary (and possibly quite painful if there is little breast tissue to squidge between the plates). These resources are limited though and I agree that people who actively increase their risk of breast cancer by taking drugs not intended for their sex should perhaps take out private health insurance.
