It saddens and embarrasses me hugely that, as a left-leaning voter of many years, and one who has criticised the Tories endlessly for their selling off of the NHS (and other minor issues) I am now compelled to attack and satirise 'my own side'.

But here we are.

And I know many feel the same. But I will not stand idly by and see bad men force good women like Duffield out of Labour.

If all this was happening to men, it would be all over the media with people discussing it endlessly. There’s no way that gender ideology would have been allowed to quietly capture so many institutions, businesses and people in power. Women just don’t matter.

As for Labour… it’s a cesspit and Starmer is a pathetic worm.

Why are some lefty men such misogynists? Is it that they just can’t cope with strong women and would rather we were back in the kitchen? Or is just simply that they’re pricks?

These wonderful female politicians like Rosie and Joanna Cherry should start their own party. Give men a kick where it hurts

Labour have been expecting their women supporters to be docile under their patriarchal wing. It is the way of smug men to ignore what women are saying and to still expect that women will remain obedient and loyal. They are going to have to start listening soon or face yet another thrashing at the next election. They can't trust the polls. Everyone is sick of the Tories but women are not prepared to jump out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Excellent article, and sickening. I just wanted to say thought that Rosie Duffield has said very clearly, in a recent tweet, that Jess Phillips is her friend and is supportive - perhaps not publicly but even private support is valuable. So I don’t think Jess should be lumped in with these misogynistic men.

Absolutely agree. I've voted Left my entire life and am so disappointed by the current Labour Party with only a few exceptions. I dread them being in power. I never thought I'd say that. I guess I've also been willfully blind to the misogyny of the woke left wing. I used to be a fan of Momentum, I cringe to think now!

The disagreements between the Labour Left and the Labour Right have always fascinated me. My theory is that sometimes there are huge differences between them (1950s, 1970s and 80s) and sometimes there are far fewer (1960s, 1990s onwards). Currently they don't disagree on much having both embraced neoliberalism. In particular the Left has no firm, distinctive economic policy and no great affinity with the working class. The differences are somewhat tribal. That Labour Left and Labour Right should unite in their disdain for women is therefore not particularly surprising.

A Labour Government would be useless on gender ideology, while the Conservative Government has been marginally-less useless as the last few years have seen pretty much every British institution captured by it. The only party (that I'm aware of) which admits that gender ideology is bollocks is the SDP, and most people don't know that they still exist.

So the choice is between the completely useless party, the almost completely useless party or the totally obscure party who have zero chance at power.

Just circling back to yesterday's Wings over Scotland exposure of SNP's 'celebration' of knife wielding woman-hating men, TRAs steeped in perversion etc.

Lookee at what we have here in the Scottish newspapers the very next day. Coincidental? I think not.

Yes but it’s important when mentioning what happened to Rosie to respect her request not to say Jess Phillips was being unsupportive. No doubt she’s working on her and hoping she’ll be more openly supportive in due course. I know it’s frustrating bu in my view we should respect Rosie’s request if we’re citing her.

In politics you can have integrity or you can have power.

Nothing frightens power more than someone with integrity, so the powerful unite against the threat.

Where can a Labour voter go these days with a clear conscience?

But does Rosie Duffield hang out much with JKR? We know they had lunch last April. I'm wondering now if women meeting up maybe once a year or so constitutes 'hanging out too much' and what our male overlords consider acceptable. For us natal women, that is. Not men or the women with dicks, of course. They meet as and when they like.
