Karen Power blocked a disabled woman on Twitter for an extraordinary reason

This is Henrietta Freeman, who has been paralysed since birth. She asked Karen Power, now on the cover of the Sunday Times and on her 2000th bar of Twix since Thursday, if she, Henrietta, was allowed to choose the sex of her carer since she’s paralysed and doesn’t wish to be touched by a male, regardless of their gender identity. Here’s a short interview with Henrietta that explains her position.

“Out of my wheelchair I am vulnerable. I can’t move myself and once I have my ventilator on, I can’t call for help. I would never want a male doing my intimate care.”
