Rape, rarely taken seriously by the police ,domestic abuse cases dismissed, but Stickers on a lamp post is cause for arrest. FFS!

This is utterly brilliant, and what a waste of police time simply because some shrinking violet has taken offence. I sticker my town too with ones I buy from Posie Parker’s website. They’re excellent. I particularly like the one which says “Nicola Sturgeon, destroyer of women’s rights”. It sells out regularly!

I doubt it was any "shrinking violet" that took offence at messages aimed at women. More like a routine trans application of DARVO: Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim & Offender.

Flyposting is illegal pretty much everywhere: but there's so much of it, police wouldn't bother unless in response to a specific complaint -- especially one that could be construed to justify the expense of their Stonewall training.

Newport police aren't anything like as bothered by domestic violence within their own ranks.

I was trying to be ‘polite’ with the shrinking violet remark! But yes I agree.

That's my favourite too. The yellow ones stand out better.

Jenni Swayne: my new hero. That a woman with severe rheumatoid arthritis, a bi-polar disorder, and a scooter named Dwain (mostly likely named after The Rock, Dwain Johnson) took to the streets a-stickering to fight for the rights of girls and women makes my eyes tear up in pride. That Jenni would then be arrested, held by the police for ten hours, interviewed exhaustively and definitively come out in the interview transcript as the most wise, the most rational, the most sane person present in the interview room is as hilarious as it is terrifyingly absurd.

We've entered a grotesque Kafkaesque clown world.

Thank you, Jenni (and, Dwain) for leading the charge against this clown world in your own home town.

And, it's time for me to get off my tucas, follow the example of Jenni and Dwain, and take up the fight in my own home town.

For Jenni and Dwain! And, the Rock! And, for girls and women!

(And, I AM serious...this is no joke)

In ghee. No, in tea. Laugh out loud. Thanks for posting, the whole thing is brilliantly absurd.

Jenni: never mentioned the word "trans" in her stickering...emphasized that this was about rights for girls and women, and didn't have anything to do with trans people. This is as smart as it is accurate. The gender identity lobby, as it so often is wont to do, force teamed the very small % of people who are transsexual -- people with legitimate crippling gender dysphoria -- with transvestites, autogynephiles, gay men with internalized homophobia presenting as female, men just wanting to take the piss, and opportunistic sexual offenders under the trans umbrella. And, Jenni's stickers acknowledge that. Brilliant.

What an insane waste of police time and awful treatment of a disabled woman over a few stickers alongside other stickers. She was right when she said they’d been Stonewalled.

Monitoring the death of a sticker! Love it. Well done Jenni!

Thought the exchange about her buying cannabis was hysterical. I can't believe the police are wasting their time with such rubbish. Presumably all serious crime in Gwent has been solved?

No, Newport police have quite a problem with domestic violence within their own ranks: part of the "institutionalised misogyny" identified by their own female police officers.

"My husband is Harold", Jenni Swayne is ADORABLE!

I just acted out the whole thing, all the characters, for my husband. That amazing long information-filled rant in the middle, marvelous! The cops really don't have a clue, do they...

Love that 👍😂

This is the best thing I have read in ages. I loved when the officer called Karen White a man!!!

Yes, then corrected it to 'person'. The copper will probably get reported to the police conduct authority or whatever it is for misgendering K White!

I could almost feel sorry for the cop. He probably signed up aged 18 or whatever thinking he was going to make his town a safer place. Instead, at 2 in the morning, he's interviewing Jenni who calls her wheelchair Dwayne, who has to tell him that saag is spinach actually, who puts up stickers, sometimes using sealant, sometimes not. And schools him on the meaning of "arse!"

"Yeah, I do have training sessions, yeah."

"Yeah, with Stonewall?"

"I don't know if I have them from Stonewall but I've had certain sessions, yeah."

You can just hear the weariness in his voice.

Jenni, you are an absolute star xx

Jenny was magnificent! The arrest and process was a waste of her time, though. Stressful too.
