As we know, Eddie is one of the Special Folk. Men who wear women’s clothing. Men we used to call transvestites before that group and that word suddenly disappeared at the same time.
We used to call them transvestites, but now we call them to read to our children. So trusted are this special, sacred group of men who wear women’s clothes, that drag artists have suddenly been placed under something like a military draft to read stories to children. A new market has opened up for a bunch of lazy opportunists who don’t bother to change their act to suit their younger audience.
When this is pointed out, most successfully by the Libs of Tick Tock account, captured journalists do their best to undermine them.
Hasan doesn’t say in which dastardly category the account resides because his only objective is to spread doubt and mistrust around a news source uncovering scandals that he’s choosing to ignore. A proud tradition among journalists, I’ve discovered, and one which causes them to quickly circle their wagons no matter where on the spectrum of the trans issue—which goes from ‘crazy’ (CursedE) to ‘careerist’ (Helen Lewis)—they reside.
But back to the Guido piece on Eddie: “Just five days after the hustings on December 4, Izzard is hightailing it to New York for a six-week, 38-show residency in an off-Broadway production of Great Expectations…”
Surely one of the Special Folk couldn’t possibly be contributing to global warming while continuing his acting career while promising to serve the people of Sheffield?
Why that…that sounds like the behaviour of a normal white man! A normal white man who has the choice of BOTH sets of toilets in public venues!
Sadly, Eddie is a more convincing woman than he is an actor. I hope on his inevitable return the people of Sheffield tell him where to go.
Eddie is a HE not a SHEffield.
It's now time for RuPaul to issue a statement condemning 'family friendly' drag.
