I have had a reply to my question on 4th January 2021, two months after I sent it to the Mayor of London. The reply came from Judith Mullett, Head of Workforce and Professional Standards at MOPAC (Mayor's Office for Police And Crime). She wrote: "Tackling hate crime is a priority for the Mayor. It is of the utmost importance that all Londoners feel safe to live, work and visit the city. It is never acceptable for people to be abused or attacked because of who they are. This form of crime has a devastating and long-lasting impact on whole communities and must be tackled.
The specialist advisors you refer to are part of the MPS frontline response to keep people safe. It is a voluntary role filled by existing officers and staff, providing them with additional skills and understanding to build trust with communities and improve service delivery.
Thank you again for raising this important issue."
I hope that these serving officers find that they are rather busy enforcing the latest lockdown, and their "priority" for "gender grievances" (my description!) slips somewhat...
We will see.
I am reassured that they won't be wasting my contribution to Council Tax on this.
What a BS job title!
I'm in the wrong job. . . £75,000!!!!! I'm still reeling from that. Will have to re-read the rest of this again later. . .
Graham you are on fire today and have given me a great laugh this morning, thank you xxx
cant arrest men! whatever next..
£75,000 for what sounds like a pointless made-up job? How many real police officers could be employed for that?
