Ireland's Stonewall is crumbling
Intriguing developments at TENI
TENI is Ireland’s answer to Stonewall and things are not looking good for them! Let’s begin with this thread from Cookie.
“What on EARTH is going on with the discredited, state-funded, private trans lobby group TENI? Today they lost over half their staff. Is something afoot I wonder? Firstly they lost their American CEO Shoshanna Carroll.
Next they lost their 'Health and Education manager' Dr. Vanessa Lacey who is leaving to 'explore new opportunities'.
Finally they lost their Operations Manager Gordon Grehan who is leaving to 'explore new opportunities. Kudos to Grehan and Lacey for their bravery in taking a leap into the unknown during a pandemic to 'explore new opportunities. It sort of sounds like doublespeak, sort of like they decided to leave after it was suggested to them? Who knows. 3 people on the same day? Wow.
The CEO leaving seems more sensible. After all someone who is frightened of becoming the first ever transwoman murdered in Ireland (10 women murdered in Ireland in 2021 to date) is clearly stressed. She must feel she will be much safer back in the US with its gun laws?
A real shame. Despite only living in Ireland for a few months she was awarded @irishexaminer award for one of 2021 Women of the Year. Such esteem, so soon. Truly remarkable.
I do hope the loss of these staff members don't cause TENI to be late in filing their annual accounts for the 3rs consecutive year. Hopefully not - despite being on the board of the National Womens's Council of Ireland, TENI's board president Sara Philips is an accountant.
Being in receipt of taxpayer money, surely this private trans lobby group can't be late in filing its accounts AGAIN? I wonder who will replace these staff members? So many questions.
Another one terrified of being non-murdered is Buffalo Bill himself, @DirtyCityBird. Back to Jane Clare Jones.
I've been having a very entertaining time 'engaging' with both Billy Bragg and 'Here NI'. It seems that Billy has absolutely no desire to engage with any of the issues... unless he thinks (in the face of facts) you might be stupid enough to fuck him.
It often seems that TRAs want, no, need violence and death to happen to one of them. Without it, the claim that they are "the most vulnerable" in society doesn't hold water. The drama over the previously unknown Lily Cade's bizarre rantings this week shows that they will latch on to any chance of saying "See, we told you so!"
I can't see them as anything but overly dramatic men badly playing a role of "fearful women", like an exercise at acting school.
