IPSO and UK Courts are conspiring in a grave insult to women

Behold, a man.

Not just any man; a paedophile, who also raped a dog, the latter crime discovered when police found the footage on a memory stick in his handbag.

It’s a man, plainly and clearly.

Calling this man by a female name, using his preferred pronouns, is a grave insult to women. Currently, IPSO guidelines compound that insult by forcing newspapers to use female pronouns in their reporting. They are directed to this end by UK courts. In her piece about the case, Jo Bartosch reveals “a note was added to the court documents advising those present to refer to Goodier as ‘Claire’, and he was referred to as ‘she’ throughout the trial. This is in accordance with the ‘Equal Treatment Bench Book’, the guidance to which judges refer on matters of equality. The book cites research by transgender lobby groups and advises: ‘It is important to respect a person’s gender identity by using appropriate terms of address, names and pronouns.”

But this is not a woman and if we can’t accurately describe a threat—in this case a threat to children—then we can’t protect ourselves against it. If Jimmy Savile came back, he wouldn’t need a showbusiness career to get close to children and abuse them. He would just have to change his name to ‘Claire’ and join Girlguiding.
