Disgraceful treatment of a modern-day Suffragette

If you ever needed proof that women like Maya are today’s Suffragettes, just take a look at the snide, superior, dismissive, derisive way they are treated, not just by randoms on Twitter, but by organisations that WERE SET UP TO DEFEND FREEDOM OF SPEECH!

I asked @IndexCensorship to withdraw the article they commissioned accusing me of criminal hate speech. They refused but they did agree to publish my right-of-reply response if I wrote it for free.

They published it together with this cartoon in which "our cartoonist considers whether it is always necessary to offer a right of reply in order to achieve a balanced debate" Thanks for the solidarity Index, Yours - women who are being silenced.

That’s Index on Censorship comparing the fight to protect women’s boundaries to flat earthism. But, again, this is not the first time these snide, superior, dismissive, derisive tactics have been used. We’ve been here before.

I have seen some despicable things done to women in this fight, and some mighty figures have reduced themselves irreconcilably in my eyes, but this really took my breath away. I suggest we write to them, to its editor and to Trevor Philips and demand an immediate apology.
