Speaking up against child sterilisation is "causing hurt". Being sacked for your views is now "inclusive". Even Orwell would see this as a reach.

Yeah he really should pipe down. Who does he think he is, standing up for children? I mean, these children have got so many people advocating for them to keep their healthy bodies. That should be enough. Child protection is for prudes and bigots!

I KNOW we're getting closer and closer to this thing breaking but the fury? I'm so mad. This guy is put on leave for speaking out about human rights abuses against children but the drag queen raising money for Mermaids? Come on in and read to the nation's children! And here's £150 an hour...

"Caused hurt ... community ... deeply sorry ... do better ... inclusive ... reflect ... move forward ... apologies."

The usual trite, tired and unconvincing woke boilerplate.

Sorry to deviate, but cracking news has just broken. The post of ‘Period Dignity Officer’ given to a man (yes you read that correctly) has been scrapped! A panel of four women (yes, you read that correctly too) hired a guy to advise women in Tayside about menstruation and menopause. He wasn’t even a guy who thinks he’s a woman! More dominoes falling. Yay! 💚🤍💜

Expand full comment

Interesting though that they've scrapped the post rather than re-advertise. Anything rather than give it to a woman!

Not the freaky snp way , women don’t exist up here , bloke still in charge of rcs ,pal of wee freaky

O I’m glad I’m old , this shit wears me down and most folk are unaware of it

Them re-advertising position would imply they had made an error of judgement, and appointing a man was inappropriate, when in fact it's absurd and just every kind of wrong. As you say, anything but give it to a woman, certainly not if that involves the vague admission that it should never have gone to a man.

Expand full comment

Exactly! They wouldn't want to right a wrong now, would they?

Expand full comment

God forbid! Perhaps they’ll give it to a man who thinks he’s a woman!

Expand full comment

No they’ll give it to a man who everyone knows is a man and Is called Keith , with a y

But occasionally wears tights , usually in Bute House

Oh oh polis at door again

Yes, exactly! If an unqualified man can't do it, no one can!

We have to be on the alert for that and let them know we’re watching.

I have a sneaky feeling they know we’re watching , and just seeing how far they can actually push us and it’s not much further

Yes, I heard that. I also thought it was weird that he wasn't a "trans woman". In fact, I was a bit annoyed that he wasn't a raging narcissist in a dress. I mean, at least make an effort with your misogyny! 🤣

But, but cancel culture doesn’t exist! Stewart Lee, and all them, all say so, right?

But please, aside from that, what is it with these forced apologies. Is there a script they all follow? Mumble mumble “hurt”, mumble mumble “community”, mumble mumble “period of reflection”. What shocking, mealy-mouthed drivel.

The tweets are great though. They have this Beardie’s number.

The "hurt in the community" nothing more than petulance. The hurt to kids is despicable.

Is this right up there with Rosie Kay being forced out of her own dance company by the 'children' she employed?

"Causing hurt" by expressing a non sanctioned opinion? The lack of resilience amongst sections of our young folk is frightening. Some of these will be running the country one day.

What a thought?

I read somewhere she’s starting a new one and will make it quite clear she’s in charge and what’s acceptable , sorry can’t remember where

She's launched the K2CO dance company.

'In what is thought to be a first for a UK arts company, all K2CO’s dancers and staff will also be asked to sign a charter pledging “that the theatre is a place where we are free to express our thoughts and feelings without fear of being silenced, shut down or cancelled”.'

Christian should get in touch with the Free Speech Union who can point him in the direction of good legal advice. I am not a lawyer, but I am sure his suspension is illegal under the 2010 Equalities Act as affirmed by the recent Alison Bailey and Maya Forstater court cases.

These organisations talk like they have one big shared brain in a room somewhere where they go to get their opinions from. It's a wonder they don't wear the same clothes and eat the same lunch. Diversity in 2022.

Still not able to quite understand this. Was Will intoxicated at-the-time? Or did he have a stroke? Surely he would have thought carefully before acting, received some legal advice? I mean his words are screenshotted/archived so he can't deny them. Are there other investors, co-founders (like Paul Thompson) who were consulted beforehand?

The Company has now dedicated itself to being anti-child-safeguarding, which is not a status most CEO's would seek to foster. And Will has managed to trash the reputation of the firm in one action.

I suspect Christian Henson has already sought legal advice and some solicitors firm is already trying to calculate the size yacht they will be able to purchase from the legal costs extracted from Spitfire Audio. I don't think any professional indemnity insurance is going to pay-out for Will if he can't prove he took legal advice beforehand.

Will must have been selected as CEO for some reason, but surely not this?

Expand full comment

Gosh, I was reading Christian's post on Twitter last night. Now this. I hope he takes them to court. Enough is enough!

Expand full comment

This may be more complicated and disturbing than at first appears.

According to Companies House’s website, Christian Henson owns more than 25% but not more than 50% (so probably 50%) of Spitfire.

So it appears that he’s been forced out of his own company.

The power these people have to take away what rightfully belongs to those who disagree with them is extraordinary.

Although the cumulative effect isn’t the same, at the individual level it’s like living under Mao or Stalin: speak out, regardless of the fact that your arguments are supported by things like science, and everything you have can be taken away in an instant .

Expand full comment

I wonder whether we need to give serious consideration to raising a litigation fund to sue publications that accuse people such as Christian Henson (Google his name), and indeed Glinner, of making transphobic comments for defamation when all they’re doing is speaking the scientific truth and/or expressing concern for women’s/children’s rights.

It wouldn’t be cheap, but I’d donate generously.
