Really helpful thank you ! I held my nose and joined the Greens (I've never joined a political party before its just not for me) I did it soley to try and get Sharar Ali in as leader to send a message to the David Lammys of this world.I was going to cancel my membership at noon tomorrow if he didn't win but I shall hang on to help if I can before leaving.Must dash I've got some more rights that need stockpiling
I really get the feeling (yes I’m an optimist) that the general tone of the conversation is coming around to all of the org’s and individuals that abdicated responsibility and prioritises unthinking ’inclusion’ are finally waking up and realised what they have been allowing to happen and the direction they allowed their juggernauts to be steered towards. It’s been a weird few years and Glinner was absolutely right to wake up when he did and thanks to him and everyone else some real changes are beginning to happen.
If there are any green party members here who are interested in being kept up to date with a guide to elections and suggestions of who to vote for, I suggest that you subscribe to the green feminists email list here:
When these next important times to vote come up, could we get a post telling us when, and how and the deadline? Because as we've seen the communications they send out are very confusing / deliberately obtuse. Sincerely appreciate this update.
hi, I suggest that you subscribe to the green feminists email list if you want to be kept up to date with a guide to elections and suggestions of who to vote for.
Thank you. I too find comms from the Green Party to be extremely long-winded and convoluted. At this point I just want to be told what, how and when to vote.
I've got the greens FB page open waiting for the vote announcement which is running late, was meant to be 10am, then 10:30am now it's 10:41am and still nothing. Some delightful women haters in the comments saying how the 'anti-trans bigot' will never win... : : eye roll central : :
I wondered about this when RevStu wrote his piece about not being able to vote in the leadership election and subsequently being expelled. Surely political parties have a duty to ensure their internal election processes are free and fair? I also wonder if the Electoral Commission has an interest, if not a formal role, in ensuring that that would be the case?
Thanks graham. I can attest to the fact that the green party women committee has failed to do much at all this year because it has been riven with division. One of the reasons I believe that Sian Berry was so frustrated is because the leaders have less power than she would have liked, because the other committees are very important in running the party, so we need to get good people elected to them.
I joined to vote for Sharar but i didnt receive a code to vote - they had obviously decided i wasnt the right sort of voter. I couldnt care less about the Greens like Labour they are past saving.

🤣 Sure made my day hearing this. Thanks!
Wrong thread (again) but there isn’t a place for general discussion so you’ll have to put up with it…xoxo…

Oops! One would think the FB live would come up on the top of their page, it's live since 10:30am, below the top post...
