I went to the Twitter account of gc2b and posted the following:
After she puts on the binder, the girl cannot breathe. She is struggling to take breaths. She will pass out - like women used to do when they wore corsets which were too tight. This is self-harm. Those who supply these garments to deluded customers should be prosecuted.
Agreed. Generally when one is suffering from a form of body dysmorphia &/or dysphoria, others understand that the problem is largely one with psychological roots. As such, it should absolutely NOT be "treated" by advertising to its sufferers a means of diving to the bottom of an ideology which, if anything, reinforces this discomfort and self-hatred while grooming the sufferer to become a life-long medical patient.
Google should be ashamed of themselves for this crassly capitalist display.
That's why we need Authors like @Rachel Rooney , after reading this I must say all the girls and Women should be gifted ",my body is me" , instead of grooming them about their bodies being sexual objects thus required to be submitted for mutilation or castration, to make them less appealing to men.
This may well tip some people over into questioning the idea that trans people are the only people who can express a valid opinion about the issue. An equivalent eating disorder ‘affirmation’ could show a young person with severe malnutrition from anorexia “According to a Google piece for Anorexia Awareness Week, “there is freedom that comes when your inside and outside align”. Starvation is a way for people to “affirm who they are”
Except young ideologues won't see it that way, sadly. As someone looking from the outside in though, it seems obvious to me that in the case of young girls (at least) there's a strong element of self-harm. I doubt that those on the inside have that clarity 😔
My outside conveys both “slag” and “bigoted Karen” - I hear that. Sick to fucking death of men, as a sex, harassing me, at all levels, throughout my whole life, for existing.

This is self harm, it shouldn't be an opportunity for a meme.

Yet another excellent read.
