The friend in question is more conspiratorially minded than me. I think it inarguable that the entertainment field can be a hugely powerful tool for propaganda. Hollywood may be the widest ever manufacturer of such. And it's no big leap to say that the ones with clout are keeping a close eye on these matters. Yeah, it's pretty explicit, the sight of these men expelling venom, hatred and threats directly at women, not just the women they're facing, but women everywhere, because they're women, is extremely disturbing.
